I'm not allowed it as we've not decided whether or not we might want a 3rd lo in a couple of years time!

Im going for the mirena coil. got my prescription I just need to take it to a clinic and get it fitted! it releases progesterone and can stop periods altogether (fantastic!) its one of the dearer ones so they like you to have it in for the whole 5 years. Im hoping to have another lo in 2 years but the nurse let me have it anyway. she did say that had i gone to an NHS clinic they wouldnt have given it me if i had told them i wanted another baby!

never used the coil b4 but as baby no2 was the result of the pill failing then im willing to try anything

i had the copper one before as i cant have hormones and it was great

the mirena (hormone) one lessens and can stop periods altogether too

has anyone got any of the coils that r around, had our 6 wk check today and doc said he recomeds the coli i have always been on the pill so not sure wht do do anyone offer any advice.
