Again it varies from baby to baby.  Dont think you can use bongela on babies under 2 months.  I usually use Ashton and Parsons or Boots Herbal Teething Powders, but again you would have to check with chemist as I can not remember what age is on them.

Drooling, crying, sometimes a bit of a temparature, trying to chew on hands if old enough ( my 10week old is doing this )

Have you tried rubbing the dummy in breast milk first.  My Lily is a really sucky baby and although everything great now, first couple of weeks were a nightmare.

She would not take to dummy and still is not that fond of it, but if I rub some breast milk on it she takes it and more often than not settles.

Also teething, although uncommon some babies are born with teeth.  Can start anytime really although not usually so early.  You never know.

hey hun, lily-faye is being EXACTLY the same!

ive fed her, changed her, cuddled her, bounced her in her bouncer etc and she is still screaming! all her baby thrush has gone so i doubt its that!

she was also like it last night and it was daddy that she wanted, not mummy   and after having cuddles with him she fell asleep around midnight nd was up again at about 5 and has been screaming ever since.

just wish they could talk so they could tell us whats wrong!

ive tryed boots and avent bottles which she loved, even went through a phase of perfering bottle to me, i started expressing for every feed.

she was screaming at 9.30 so i went i shower and left her, by the time i got out she was in a right state, i picked her and she fell straight asleep in my arms.

teething??? shes only 7.5 weeks isnt a bit early

Which bottles do you use, I mix feed and use the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature ones and little one enjoys using them.

Dont be scared to ring your HV, they are there to help not judge.

Having little ones is hard work and there is nothing worse than not being able to pacify them as they can not tell us what is wrong?

I assume that little one is dry and fed when they are crying?  Maybe it is trapped wind and they need a tummy rub?

Or maybe it is just mummy that little one wants.  Do you put a comforter in the cot that has been near to you, eg small blanket, t-shirt so little one can still smell you even though you are not holding them?(you can buy stuff for this if it works).

yeah i think so, they look ok anyway, its like she just wants comfort all the time. She was screaming so loud a minute ago while in her mosess basket, like she was starving i've picked her up and shes fell asleep.

Hiya, she won't think you have pnd just from what you've said unless she's stupid, you're just exhausted. Is you lo's gums and mouth ok?

    morning ladies

sorry to bother u but i feel i need to talk to sum1, over the week Sophie went 5 or 6 hrs at night which was fab. Last 2 nights she hasnt slept, last night felt like she was feeding, grunting and crying all night, she finally fell asleep at 5am!! for an hr and has been awake since.

I'm so tired and feel like i cant cope i dont know what to do. Shes BF only and when i expressed she loved the bottle then last week she took a sudden dislike to it and screams when i try and feed her with it even though shes hungery so my dh cant support me with the feeding.

i'm scared of ring hv in case she judges me and thinks i have pnd
