hi hun im presuming incapicity benefit?? i claimed this as i had just started my own business so couldnt claim maternity allowance obviously but because ive always worked before i had contributed enough national contributions so i claimed this up until i was 29 weeks weeks then i was automatically put onto income support. also if you have paid national insurance you can also claim jobseekers contribution based which is not means tested but they failed to tell me about this benefit and then it was too late!! i presume will be the same for you if your due in oct.
