Hello

I am just wondering this q as I went to my doctors yesterday to tell him I was pg and he said we dont retest you because you have done a home pregnancy test and they are really good so he sent a referral to the midwife but what happens if I aint got nothing in my belly when I have my twelve week scan. Their will probably will be as i was due on monday and i still aint come on.

My doctor re tested my urine sample last pregnancy in 2006 but this time didnt'

She said that the home tests we do now are the same as the ones they use in the surgery. So if my home test say positive then i am pregnant.

Needless to say i went out straight after my docs appointment and bought another test to reassure myself tha ti was in fact pregnant. It came up positive too.

Had an early scan yesterday due to cramping on one side and it showed a yolk sac etc.. too early to see heartbeat i am only 5-6 weeks pregnant... but glad to know its in the right place and not in my tubes. Got to wait 10 more days for another test to see a hearbeat.

mine didn't just congratulated me and put my wee sample to be send off for confirmation. had almost same last time sent it off and then mw contacted me. so not confirmation.

i feel a bit scared waiting now for later.i know its silly but i think what if it comes back saying "sorry to inform you....."

Had my gp app finally this evening. He just took my word for it, took my weight and BP, gave me my EDD and filled in a form which he faxed to my nearest antenatal clinic. They'll write to me with my scan date apparantly.

LO was 1 last month. Thanks for all your replies since my question- sounds like your area is like here mum25and...(sorry cant remember rest of username lol!!) as that exactly what happened to me 1st time round. May still fib about dates then to get scan- sounds awful but just think everyone should be entitled to 2 scans (at least) in pg and I would only of had 1 1st time round at 20wks otherwise. Dont really feel pg at mo so will probably just leave it!! Can tell it's 2nd time round- so much more relaxed! X

Went to gp today.  She just took my word for it........I've done 4 tests!  She could also see how exhausted and sick I looked..lol!! Surgery told me I had to see gp b4 mw.  Going back to gp in 2 wks, then being sent to mw.  Having early scan though as not sure of dates.

Hi All, I may be a newby (got bfp at wkd and am now 10 days late on so think it must be true!). Glad I found this thread as am wondering this too. Had DD a year ago and when I went over pg with her Dr did nothing at all but gave me no. for mw and told me to phone her at 10wks. Dont know if I should bother going over to Drs or just phone mw. When pg with DD had to pretend I didnt know my dates in order to get dating scan at 12 weeks but think they do them automatically now so dont know if I need to chat to mw earlier in order to get booked in. My god I'm waffling- sorry!! Bet you're hoping I dont join you now! P.S according to my dates am 5+2 (due 15th June)

    Hi hun

This is my second pregnancy and both times the doc didnt do anything. He told me that is you have tested with a home pregnancy test then there is nothing they can do which is better as they are 99.99999% accurate.

I did 3 tests - only coz 1 was a faint line(Asda test)  1 said negative(First responce) so got the clear blue digital and it said PREGNANT!!

Doc took my BP and has reffered me to mw x

I did two tests at home which were both positive and then when I went to the doctors they did a blood test which confirmed the same..they don't do it by a urine sample anymore at my surgery x

    Esther
