I was the same as you. I had a bleed at 8wks, and when scanned everything was ok. I had my 12wk scan today and I sat in the waiting room feeling very very scared (don't know why - this is my 4th baby) when I went in, everything was great. I want to shout it from the roof tops today. Chances are you will be fine. Good luck.

I know exactly how you feel, i had an emergency scan 2 weeks ago  as i had discharge and also real bad abdomonal pains.

I was scared when they were doing the scan, i didnt know where to look then just seen the baby n this littl black thing (the heart) beatin away so fast i was relieved, now im not so paranoid about small niggles, cos the pains where the bodies way of dealing with the changed (so im told by the doctor).

Hi Emz, I had an emergency scan today due to brownish discharge. I was so worried I couldn't look at the screen until she said there's baby and heartbeat. She put me back 2 weeks though so i'm only 8 +3 now. I haven't really got symptoms except tiredness and sore boobs. Good luck xx

hi hun,i never had spotting or lack of symptoms but i was a wreck with sheer terror!!! i cant even call it nerves as it was more than that!!! i had a scan at 8 weeks (private) and 11+5,and before both i couldn't eat, sleep or function normally! i never really enjoyed my scan as i was so busy staring at the sonographers face checking her reaction,i wish i had lightened up and concentrated on my baby!!!! it is impossible to chill out i know but make the most of your scan i am sure everything will be fine for you. lots and lots of xxxxxxxx taryn 12+4

I've got my scan on thurs and Im absolutely crapping it, sooo worried about it its unbelieveable, I wasnt ever like this with my dd, but I think this time round its mainly cos I have had slight spotting and I've got no symptoms, maybe tired but that could be partly from looking after my 8 month old dd, is there anyone else thats felt like this but all's been ok? xx
