hi all and thanks alot for your posts. im a little upset today as my suspicions were confirmed. she told me today that she hasnt mc and i felt deeply upset that she lied to me. especially for something like this my life was turned upside down when i found out i had a mmc at 12weeks   and im still not totally over it i dont think i ever will be. im not angry at her desision as i said before its her choice but im upset that she told people she had a mc. i honestly cant believe it and im so upset and i cryed when i got home as it just brought all that pain back up again. now i dont know what to say to her. what can you say

hi and thanks for all your views. the thing is i do feel awful for thinking like this of a friend but she hasnt even seen a gynea doctor or anything hasnt even been to hospital yet........ i really dont know i know her reasons for her first termination and i dont have a grudge against anyone who does this as like i said before its her choice.  but i just cant sheake off that something isnt right.

Hi, I had a mc at approx 6-7 weeks pregnant back in 2004 and was initially given a scan  for the bleeding to check pregnancy wasn't still viable and then was given an appt for 2 weeks time to check everything had come away naturally.  At no point was I offered any tablets and was told to keep an eye on the bleeding and pain.  If it all became too much to contact EPU and they would check me over.  I've also had mc at 18 weeks, was told I would need the tablet, but it all started naturally for me.  HTH.xx

hi i am a past june 07 mummy. firstly congrats on ur pg. i had a mc aug 06 at 5+5ish mine was over a bank holiday and coz i was not having any pain took 1 week for my scan with epau and the scan showed i had passed everything. secondly i am a gynae nurse so see ppl all the time. from my experience a 4wk pg lady who comes in with vaginal bleeding would be given an internal to see if the cervix is closed or open, also some drs just send them home and ask them to repeat a pg test in 2weeks. i have never given misoprostal to a lady under 6 weeks and usually they have retained products seen on a scan. (misprostal the medical management drug). i think the best thing u could do is be there for ur friend perhaps if she is having a termination she may open up to u again (we do use misoprostal for medical terminations but a scan is done first for dating reasons), but i suppose as her friend u have to believe what she says until she says otherwise, oh and all hospitals do things differently just explaining how we do it and at 4wks pg and bleeding the drs are always cross about the sensitivity of the hpt as often ladies get their af as normal after getting a bfp (chemical pg). take care xx

hi thanks to you all. im just confused as i know when i had my mmc i had to have the drugs to induce the mc at 12weeks and i know they do this as its a little further on and my body wasnt giving up on my bubs wanted to keep hold ov it. i was also thinking that doctors dont just give out the tablet i was in hospital for 4weeks with my mmc. i feel awful thinking of a friend like this but recently we hve found she been telling losts of white lies but for me if she lies about this then im not sure where it would us as she knows what i went through so wy would she lie.

Talking from experience, in March I got pregnant, had been trying. I got my BFP the day before I was due af (fri), I started bleeding the Tuesday after, so I was 4+3 pregnant. Bleeding wasn't too heavy but enough to panic me, did a pregnancy test Tuesday evening and it was negative. I went to Hospital on the Friday (good friday) as bleeding got worse, they took blood and said my hcg levels were zero so I had miscarried. I had no scan or intervention as it was incredibly early and I had passed clots in that week so I lost the baby naturally.

i do see were your comin from you wont affend but i do think your right but you can never say never what more can i say if you offer support an she is lyin your gonna feel like such a mugbut somethin really does not add up you need to talk any more just mail me il be happy to talk to ya i had a mc at 6 weeks last yearxxxxxxx

well that what they did with me this time round i thought i was having a mc at 5weeks n they took my blood then sent me for a scan. i really dont know what to think.

I can only comment on what happened to a friend.  She kinda found out she was pregnant but we couldn't be sure coz the line was feint and then the next test we did it came up negative and subsequent tests did as well.

2 days later she thought she'd come on but at work she was in agony and was sent home from work and went to docs.  They thought she was having a mc or had eptopic so they sent her for a scan.  They ended up not doing the scan saying it couldn't be eptopic.  That evening in the bath she totally mc.  They didn't do any tests on her no bloods, no scans - just an internal.

I'm not sure if they don't do anything due to it being so early in the pregnancy.  And not being horrible and not wanting to offend anyone but at 4 weeks bubs is actually only 2 weeks old and still a jumble of cells. (I think) They didn't even check her to make sure everything had come away.

when i went to the hospital at 5weeks in pain the first thing they did was check my bloods i don't understand why she would tell people shes pg if she was going to have an abortion i wouldn't know what to believe hun i've never had a mc so not sure but the truth always comes out xxxxxxx

hi i dont want to offend or upset anyone by this post but im really confused at the moment. here goes, a friend told me when i had my mmc in june that she aborted a baby a 14weeks (not the most convenient time to tell me i must say), i dont have anything against this it was her decision but just an odd time to tell me. anyway her bf phoned me the other day over the moon that she prg and i congratulated them she has 3 other children. then she said today that she mc last night but im not sure as she said to me that her bf didnt want the baby even though he was really excited when he phoned me n she said he told her to have an abortion. i seen her today and she said that doc has told her to leave it for today and she will have a tablet tomorrow to make sure everything is out then a scan in a week. well they havnt scanned her or took her bloods to see what has happened and i know when i had a mmc coz i was 12weeks i had the medical management but i didnt think you would need this if you started to mc naturally at 4+1 im so confused. i cant see why they wouldnt check her blood ect to see if the hormone level has gone down. i personally think she has had another abortion or is going for one but told everyone she pregnant so said she mc. i am sympathetic to her i have to be incase she has had a mc but it just doesnt add up to me. please please dont be offended by this post anyone i would just like to know others wiews on the situation. sorry it a bit jumbled up but im confused.
