i will be seeing the consulant there aswell his lovely! he was really good when i saw him last time whilst preg with my daughter :D

Been away for a couple of days so sorry for taking so long to get back to you!!

I'm due in the 3rd (have scan tommorow so could all change!!). First time round i had a consultant because i was young so needed extra care, second daughter i got meningitis at 20 weeks so needed one then. I ended up with c-section as she was breech which is why i need one this time!! I think you need keeping an eye on due to the pressure on the scar and in case you need another c-section. Hopefully that won't be the case as i'm hoping for natural. Midwife would be great but i don't think they'll let me. I'm seeing consultant tommorow to so i may know more then!!

You were lucky to have no consultant, in DVH it's an all day event!! God only knows how they can run so late, even at 9am!!!

im also going dvh, had my first there in jan 08 and had a good experience, mind u i was the only person in the midwife led unit so i had them all running round after me!!  xx

I'll be going to DVH too... had my first there in November 2006 which was a bit disappointing but I'm hopeful it will be better this time.

I have to see a Consultant this time too, in January, as my first baby was big (9lb 4oz) and I was told that they like to check women that have large babies to see that it isnt anything to do with diabetes.

Oh right ok, so when are you due.

Can i ask why you get a consultant?  i've never seen a consultant not even with my first daughter just the mw?

Hi there,

I think at last count it was 6 or 7 of us!!! Some of us must bump into each other at some point!! I'm up there on Tuesday for a scan and see my consultant for the first time (this pregnancy anyway, had him for my daughter last time!)
