Hi - I'm gatecrashing, i was a DIJ08 Mummy.  The best thing to do is buy for the little one, the clothes, but what they will be in, in 9-12mths time, Ethan has lovely cotton dungarees now, but too cold to wear them.  I bought these in Mother care and Next sales.  So whenever you buy loads in the sale, work out what season it will be and do that.

    Good luck with your pregnancys

I thought I'd remind people as it's easily mistaken. I had my first baby in October, and being pregnant all through the summer and seeing gorgeous romper suits and summer outfits in the shops made me buy them. When I had her, I realised I had loads of summer clothes for a baby born in October! It's so easily done.

So, remember we are buying summer baby clothes!!!! Not many outfits we can buy at the moment then, just the usual babygros and vests etc.

I think I will buy the toiletries, basic vests, babygros, socks, blankets and bedding etc until I have my 20wk scan anyway.

Daniel was due 18th July 2006, bang in the middle of the heatwave we had.

He was TWO weeks late and I was induced.

So I was 9.5mths pregnant in the heatwave from hell when he was born lol. (it wasn't funny then)

Knowing me I'll jinx it for us all and we'll have another heatwave this Summer.  Apoligies in advance if it turns out that way lol!

That's what I thought but it won't be slap bang in the middle of summer. Hopefully we'll just miss the sweltering months (if we have any warm weather that is!)

Point taken though, the fluffy white snuggley romper suits looks so cute I was almost tempted yesterday but said to my friend, suppose I should get it in a bigger size!

Very good point there! I suppose we're lucky to be having summer babies because we shouldn't have to spend as much as if we were having babies now

    Thanks for the heads-up

All the baby clothes in the shops at the moment are gorgeous and fluffy and cuddly, because it's winter at the moment! I keep looking at snowsuits and things in the shops and wanting to buy them.... BUT....

DON'T FORGET OUR BABIES WILL BE SUMMER BABIES AND WEAR NOT MUCH MORE THAN BABYGROS AND VESTS WHEN THEY ARE NEWBORN!!!!!
