I am glad it went well for you, shared care can only be a good thing, you can get double the advice

I have mine on Wednesday and my scan on Thursday. Not really thinking about my booking in app as I just want Thursday to come round xx

Had my booking in appt today.  MW was very nice but will not be my normal MW.

Has put me under shared care as I would be classed as higher risk due to abnormal smear treatment that I have received.  Have to wait unbtil my scan to have my bloods etc done.

Got my bounty pack from the MW so will need to have a look this afternoon.

Thank you everyone for putting my mind at ease

I've got my first mw appointment tomorrow and at a size 20/22 and only 5'2" I am a little scared about what she will be like. But I am detirmined not to take it to heart this time like I did last time! I eat healthy and I've also quit smoking, okay it was since I found out I was pregnant but I think I'm doing the best I can as a mum so if she wants to be mean I'll ignore it

But saying that, I've spoken to her on the phone and she sounds really nice so I'm sure it'll be fine! I've got my scan on the 5th December too!! I really can't wait to see blob again

Hi bethraff, just wanted to let you know that i am a size 16 (not for much longer) and only 5ft 3in, and i am 34 years old.  I had my mw appointment on Thursday and i was dreading what she was going to say, but i really shouldn't of worried.  She was lovely, and i actually brought up the subject of my age and weight and she told me not to worry, as i had nothing to worry about.  In fact she laughed when i told her how i was feeling!  You will be fine hun, i think the experiences that we have read on her are extreme, and to be honest if i had got a horrible mw i would have insisted that i didn't want to see her again.  Enjoy your appointment and your scan.  I am having my scan on 8th Dec so not long after you.  Let us know how you get on x

Thx.  I am addicted to the posts on here and you read some horror stories - it seems as if some mw's are really awful

Have my first mw appointment tomorrow and then my 12 week scan on 5th Dec.  Don't know really what to expect but really worried as I am a "larger lady" and also 36 so I really have nothing going for me.  Expect it to be a bit tough.
