Thank you for your kind thoughts. My husband is sp excited and I feel so bad at feeling so down about it. My mum says I worry about the day I will never see. I just wish I was a more positive person. I will let you all know how I get on x

    hiya

This is my 3rd lo and i've been scared going to my 12 week scans.  I had thoughts that there would be something wrong or that there would be nothing there at all!  But everything has been fine with the last 2 and i've got this one on thurs.  Try not to worry just drink plenty of water before you go otherwise they may not be able to get a good look at bubs!  I had that with my 2nd and I had to drink a load more water and go back in half an hour for another go!!

Like a previous poster said have a nice hot bath and a warm drink the night before and try to relax,  it really is a wonderful experience.

Hi there, dont worry in regards to feeling so nervous I am exactly the same as you and from reading lots of the other threads I think it is a natural thing to feel before your scan.

Mine is on Thursday and I too and petrified, I haven't had a scan before but i guess you would be in there 10 or 20 minutes give or take.

    Good luck hun xx

awww you will love it when i had my 12 wk scan with dd i was expecting them to say theres no baby there your imagining it but when you see your baby and it looks like a baby with its little arms and lags waving about you will really enjoy it try to relax and think positively are you having your bloods done at the hospital at the same time? xxxxxxx

I have my scan on wednesday but I am actually terrified. I am not even looking forward to it. I just keep thinking that there is going to be something wrong. I had spotting one night at 8 weeks and I think thats why I feel so scared. At the moment I can live in a bubble and prentend everything is ok.

I have a phobia of hospitals too and don't like needles so everything about is filling me full of dread, does anyone know roughly how long you are in there? I just want to get it over with as soon as possible. I doubt I will even get any sleep on Tuesday night.
