My mw wants me to have shared care also so I will see the consultant more than most because I had treatment for an abnormal smear.  It will just mean going to the hospital more rather than seeing the mw at my local surgery. I suppose the more care they give you the better

hi its good that they are keeping an eye on you, just keep rested as much as possible and write down all questions you have for the consultant.

my babies were very small going by what everyone has said and nothing was said about the afterbirth being bad or anything, ds1 3 weeks early and weighed 5lb 12 and ds2 1 week early and weighed 6lb 2. i think the weight of your daughter was very healthy.

my first born was 6lb and 12 placenta not good

my second was 8lb 4 placenta perfect

there now tryin to say that 8lb 4 sounds about average and that it sounds like my first born wasnt getting all the goodness from placenta....

i sort of hope there wrong as i really dont want another 8lb odd baby as my labour was very traumatic....

hope everything goes ok for you

oh god i didnt relise how serious it could be , she said my daughter didnt weigh much either (6.4) so that was probaly another thing towards the placenta breaking, even though 6.4 is a healthy weight anyway!

wonder if thats y grace was early, only 9 days but still.. hmm i rekon it was all the footy i was playing though!

i wouldn't worry to much, you are being referred to a consultant so they can keep a closer eye on you in pregnancy.

problems with the plancenta can be serious to both you and the baby, as your broke on the last pregnacy they will monitor you more closley.

    hi, dont worry about it....

if it broke inside you it means it might not have been the best, and it may not have been feeding your daughter how it should of been, so they'll jus want to keep a close eye this time to make sure its working how it should for this baby...

with my first born it snapped and they only jus managed to get it out, i also had an infection for 13 weeks...

with my second daughter not a problem, they said wen she was born it was the healthiest looking afterbirth they'd seen in a while

shes a bit concerned, because after i had my daughter, the afterbirth, broke inside me and only half of it came out, and the "rest" gradually came out , but beacuse it broke shes concerned, and wants me to see a consulant because of it, i dont understand whats the big deal with it though :S i did have an infection afterwards beacuse of it though ..

and also because i havent had chiken pox yet i gota stay away from ppl with them obvously lol!
