i bought the tomme teppee close to nature ones to start with but dd kept chokeing on formula and binging it up , so bought dr brown bottles and think they are great !

you can buy 4 for 20 quid in boots ok its a lot but if like me you buy on a tripple points day it all adds up .

i usually put formula in and gently swirl bottle round then put vent system and top on wait till its cooled and then swirl it some more ,

Hi there, I am using Doctor Brown bottles and we purchased a mixing jug after someone posted on here.  It was £12.99 but so much easier and worth the money.  We bought it from www.pedleybaby.co.uk.  Hth xx

I think it says not to shake them as it puts more air bubbles in, makes sense really but i never though of it, ds is on easy digest milk and its quite hard to mix so i give it a swirl first then a bit of a shake anyway and he seems ok.

i had a couple of times when i couldnt work out why the bottle was half empty and there was water all over the work top, once in the middle of the night when i was half asleep and had already put the formual was really confused and peed off, had to stumble down the stairs with ds screaming waking the household to try to make up an other bottle, but this only happened when i had used boiling water to make up the bottles. x x x

i discovered that if the water is boiling they leak when shaken but if it is just warm it doesnt leak, my DS is 12 weeks old now and have been using Dr Brown bottles since birth and i ALWAYS shake them!
