hello all.... Erica thanks for the advice but i think i'll hang it there a bit longer as I think my supply will sort itself out soon, its really funny as breastfed babies aren't supposed to suffer wind as much as bottlefed babies!!!

K8 bit of a weird question but did min moo have green poo's instead of yellow ones when shes was unsettled???

Em's, Min Moo was just the same hun! Only in the last 2 weeks has she settled. I have zoooooooming let down and she used to get bad wind and really make a scene when breastfeeding, but my flow has slowed down and she pulls off if it's too fast which then gets sprayed in her face lol!

It will end...........trust me, Min Moo was a right little screamer and wriggler but she's chilling out now and my boobs are settling down

missems... i know this isnt usually the way to do it but if your baby is in pain because of the breastfeeding...please dont jump on me girls as i have never breastfed my 2 so dont actually know if i am right or wrong lol but would it not be better all round if u started bottle feeding instead?.... i mean baby wont have as much wind so prob wont be in pain and in whic case  she wont scream all the time and u might be able to eat in peace lol... i know breast is best and all that but bubs i would think it be better for bubs not to be in pain just for breastfeeding xxx

HI all my little one has been like this for 2 days, im putting it down to trapped wind and maybe constipation as she has only had 1 poo in 4 hours.  if i can offer any advise it would be this dont make a rod for your own back, my ds who is 4 was just like what miss emms described would not be put down etc it made the simplest things so dam hard and it really got me down, trying to eat  and rush ur own food with a screaming baby over ur shoulder - try and break the habbit now as it will only get worse ( obviously if baby is suffring with wind the that s different) but clingy babies for no reason is hard going. i have done things differently this time, she crys sometimes but she soon gets over it she has to learn to waite as my 4 yr old needs attention too! my dd has a screaming hour between 6  and 7 EVERY night, nothing will console her she is just so tired but screaming for  whole hour is horrible as u feel so helpless.  thankfully she is fast asleep now.....bliss xx

spoke to someone at la leche, she was sooooo helpful! Kinda thought it was a breastfeeding issue, apparently it sounds like i've got a really powerful let down which is giving baby painful trapped wind. Poor baby has tummy ache... everything she said made total sense!!! Don't think it will help me get lunch or peace though

Hey Ems, you're a trooper!  You're doing so fab!  I totally get where you're coming from too.  I can't put Shaylun down much in the days, it's very rare that he'll have a good sleep between meals.  He normally screams most of the time and I end up holding him pretty much constantly.  I just keep trying to remember that he's a month old already, times flying and he won't be doing this for much longer.

We've tried him with infacol, dentinox, colief and just plain old cooled boiled water and none have worked.  We're changing his milk to the easy digest stuff to see if that'll make a difference because he seems so uncomfortable all the time.  When he's having a screaming fit, he absolutly pours with sweat bless him.

Have you spoken to the hv? While you've got a decent one around and before the evil one returns, lol!  Are you eating somthing that she doesn't like the taste of?  I've never bf for very long so I havn't really got much experience with this kind of thing, sorry.

    Huge hugs hun.xxxxx

My baby doesn't stop crying unless shes on my boob or being rocked. Even whens shes on the boob shes latches on and off constantly wriggling and crying. I managed to get her to take a dummy and that gives me a tiny bit of peace, or occasionally she'll settle if I put the hairdryer on. I have to leave her to cry so i can quickly jump in the shower, I have to eat my food one handed, have to do most things one handed. I have a sling but she doesn't last long in that either without kicking off!!! I have a 2 year old who needs me too and I can't seem to get to her..... I'm losing my mind..... help!
