so what exactly is the "right" length and weight for a baby.... they're all different!!

Yeah im bottle feeding honestly i just think this hv has it in for me last week she said she wasnt the right length or weight (according to the red book) that she was shorter than normal at birth (48cms).

Also she had some dry skin and she said i needed to sort it even though i explained mw had said it was because i was 10 days overdue and i had been putting olive oil on.

That sounds like  brilliant weight gain, jack didn't even put on that much in his last few weigh ins and believe me he can really pile it on, he's bottle fed too so technically should gain weight well.

eh??? My health visitor was over the moon 2 mins ago when she weighed Emelia shes was 8 lb 2 last friday and today is 8lb 13, she said its normal for boob fed babies to put on around 4oz in a week! Not sure whats normal for bottlefed though!

Sounds like a reasonable weight gain to me. Are you breastfeeding? My little girl was 8lb 3oz last thur and 9lb this thur and hv was really pleased with that.

I took Emmi to be weighed with hv and last Wednesday she was 8lb 4oz and yesterday she was 8lb 15oz and hv says shes not putting weight on enough.Has anyone else had this prob x
