hi. thought i would take the time to come and thank everyone for their kind and supportive messages, it means so much to me and kev and also to update you all myself on tiana.

we spoke to the doctor's at 7pm and they have said that tiana will need her valve replacing as the infection in her heart is causing the valve to dissolve and break off. there is a risk that the infection will get to her brain and cause damage there and possibly other parts of her body so in the morning the doctors are having a meeting with tiana's surgeon and they are wanting to do her operation in the afternoon. the operation is just as serious as her first two and will also take 5-6 hours.

they have said her recovery will be slow due to her size and ill health, tiana will need to be on warfarin for the rest of her life . tiana will have to have the artificial heart valve replaced every 1-3 years as a child and then every 15-20 years as an adult so our poor beautiful baby will be going thru ops throughout her life.

we will try to update as and when we can but at the moment we are all over the place emotionally and are still in shock about it all.
