Finally my birth story lol
Ok on the 9th August i woke up around 8.30am and felt i was having contractions about every 5-6 mins but they was ok not very painfull, think i felt them early where iv been pregnant before and realise what they feel like. So i just kept busy allday doing bits and bobs indoors- then it came to 5pm and thought id better go get checked out. Went hospital and the mw examined meand said there was no labour, but she gave me a sweep. Then me and Jamie went and had a kebab and chips and went round my mums to say no nothing(as katie was round there) Then while round my mums for a few hours i started getting stronger conractions, had a bath roudn there to try ease the pain and they was comming every 3 mins so rang the hospital and they advised me to go back in to get checked over this was at 10pm. And got examined and was 4-5 cm dilated, I also used the birthing ball(did with Katie too)and this time just had gas and air, last time had that and pethidine. Anyway he wasborn at 1.03am 10th august weighing 7lb 14oz! So was only in labour at the hospital for 3hours! On my discharge notes says my labour was 4 hours x
I had Jack weighed today, he's 9lb 2 now how about james and how is he feeding now?

hi hun, dont think its put me off having more, at the time i was saying no more though lol.
me and james are fine apart from he keeps getting a stuffy nose!

Iv just read your birth story sounds like you had a long labour, has it put you off having anymore?
Im gonna come on here tomorow and write mine as Jack needs feeding sorry for the delay!

hi hun, well its been a while but iv found our thread and finally got a quiet couple of mins to write my birth story.
well on friday 15th aug i woke up with contractions, they felt painful and were coming every 4 mins, i rung hospital and they told me to go down and be checked over, so we went down and i was only 2cm dialated so they put me on the mintor and kept checking me, anyways it got to about 2pm and nothing had progressed so they sent me home and said come back if it gets worse, if not i was due to be induced the next day.
anyways i got home and was still in a lot of pain, couldnt really do much so i had a bath and got in bed. that night i didnt get any sleep and the pain was getting worse so in the morning about 6am i rung hospital and they told me to go down. i was then 3cm dialated, anyways they told me i was staying in so at least i knew i was going to have my baby that day. they put me on monitor and said they would break my waters at 1.30 up until then i was coping with the pain using the birthing ball.
they broke my waters in the afternoon at about 1.30 and pretty much straight away the pain got worse, i coped for a while but then went onto gas and air and thats the only pain relief i had. i was quite out of it and dont really remember much about the times, it seemed to go really fast. my mum and dad came to the hospital and simon was there. anyways by the time id started pushing they realised that james had turned round so he was back to back and after pushing for 2 and a half hours i was still no further so they put me on a drip to try and make my contractions longer so i could push longer but that didnt work for me. eventually there was about 3 midwives in the room and two doctors, they said they needed to cut me to help him out and they had to you ventouse on his head which i didnt mind as i was so exhausted from lack of sleep and id not eaten all day either, anyways eventually he was born at 8.56 pm weighing 7lb 11oz. the moment he came out was so perfect. simon was so overwhelmed he had to go outside and my mum was in tears lol. i couldnt have done it without my mums and simons support though. i stayed in hospital until the monday which i didnt mind as they were really helpful etc and me being a first time mum i needed the help!
that student midwife katie was with me the whole time, she was great and so supportive, shes become more of a friend now.

hi hun, well yes im still here waiting!! its driving me mad but i suppose its getting closer to saturday when i will be induced if still nothing! anyways hope you and jack are ok and that Katie is liking her new baby brother! speak soon hun xx

hi, not really much progress to report back lol, been having bits of a show today, not nice seeing as though iv been out shopping all day with my mum so had to keep popping to the loo lol.
anyways just got home now and just gonna relax for the night i think, and pretty much same all weekend, just really tryin to keep on top of housework etc now and keep prepared for the little ones arrival!
you had any sort of signs your baby might want to come out lol? xx

hi hun, u ok? well everyday i wake up and think ohh another day overdue now and when i go to bed at night i think oh great tomorrow is another day of waiting lol.
well after sweep yesterday had a bit of blood discharge (sorry to be disgusting lol) and a few period type pains but thats about it, not had anything today as of yet so will just have to wait and see. i dont know what im doing today yet, my mum is off work so maybe have a walk down to hers later or she might pop up here.
baby hasnt really moved this morning which concerns me so im gonna go and get something cold to eat and drink and see if that gets him going, he might just be being lazy and not woke up lol. you got any plans for the weekend apart from waiting to go into labour lol xx

Yeah i heard sweeps are not very nice, any signs that it has worked for you? My sweeo date is the 18th and my induction is the 19th.
Im ok thanks, another day over due
Yesterday went over a park with my mum, sis and Katie and as soon as we got there it rained so we ran(well i tried to lol,hoping it might bring on labour lol) and ended up back at my mums and then the girls doen soem colouring,sticking, and then the sun came out so played playdough out in the garden. Dunno what to do today, you?

hi hun, well just been to midwife, she did the sweep, it wasnt the most comfortable of things, felt like i had bad period pains when she was doing it. i dont know if it will be successful though, she couldnt reallty say, she has wrote in my notes about it but i dont really know what they mean lol.
anyways i have induction next saturday if iv still not had him by then. theyve said i have to ring the hospital and make sure they have a bed first on that day, but anyway im hoping it wont come to that but will have to see. how are you today?
you up to much? i want to just chill out this afternoon, i really cant be bothered doing anything but need to change the bed and put summat on for tea, i dont know what to make though.

morning hun, nope no signs yet lol. dreading the sweep today but suppose theres a chance it might work so might aswell give it a go! how you feeling? im so nervous for the sweep you know, iv got butterflies in my tummy hehe.

ps yes i tried the curry obviuosly didnt work lol and i had hot bath afterwards lol!
hi hun, well sounds like you had it nice and easy lol...if easy is a word you can you about giving birth!
James is good, hes drinking around 4-5 oz now, worried im overfeeding him but thats what hes taking and dont want to starve him! hes roughly feeding every four hours but sometimes during the day he sleep through and goes a bit longer but then at night when i want to sleep he seems to wake at 4 hours on the dot lol. hows jack doing?
James got weighed last wed he was 8lb 7, ill take him next wed again and see what hes up to then.
hope your ok and coping with two little monkeys!! i can only just do one! x
