I hate to say it, and I don't quite know how it happened, but Tabetha-Ann has been sleeping from 9pm till at least 6am, and she is exclusivly breast fed too. She's been doing it since 5 weeks old.  I put a post up earlier, because, she's also now putting herself to sleep quite happily, and I hate it.  I loved being a nawty mummy and cuddling her to sleep, and now she doesn't want me too.

I dont know how she does it, but my dd who is eight weeks old now has been sleeping from about 8pm until 5 in the morning, having a sleepy feed at this time, with us in the bed and then going back off again until about 8am, she is ebf. She has a bath at night at the same time as ds and then we get her dressed and i feed her and put her in her cot, she normally wakes up after half hour and i will feed her again then and put her back in her cot, she normally sleeps right through then.

I think i just have a really easy baby this time though because my ds was nothing at all like this he fed every two hours all day and night until he was about four or five months old, and was nearly fully weaned before he slept through the night.

my other 3 starting sleeping thru the night at about 3 mths. sara is 8 weeks and slept thru the night once 5 days ago. from 11 til 7.30. otherwise she has a routine which started 2 weeks ago. she sleeps at 11, wakes at 4am for 10-30 mins and then sleeps for another 4/5 hrs. i do however still cluster feed everynight from 7pm til 11. so i reckon after those 4 hrs of feeding she is content and thats why she sleeps so well.

I was solely breastfeeding untill recently but i become a zombie!so now my lo has one 4oz bottle of aptamil at the beginning if the night so i get at least 5 hours sleep which is heaven and means im not such a zombie.maybe you could express some in the day as baby gets milk quicker from a bottle and could feed ur lo this at night which means u wouldnt be sitting up feeding for an hour or so at night.just a thought really

Does anyone know if it is remotely possible to breasfeed, and get your baby to sleep through the night...and...ermmmm...how?  Hayden is not too bad...he's 8 weeks old now, is solely breastfed, and has recently started to cluster feed late afternoon and evening, and will go to bed about 10:30pm, and sleep until around 2:30am, and then will wake again around 6am.  I have been told that they digest food more effectively than formula fed babies, so get hungry quicker...but what I wouldn't give for just one nights sleep?!!!  I wish they had a yawning icon with 3 giant bags under each eye!!!

Thanks in advance for any help! xxx
