aww michelle lil adam is absolutley gorgeous and i bet you and your OH are sooo proud of him!the lil fighter that he is!as a pp said cant belive its been 9 weeks!its gone so fast!
before you know it he will be home with you both were he belongs!

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that little Adam is getting stronger and stronger everyday. He is absolutely gorgeous Michelle you must be very proud

yes sapnaz, that's exactly what was happening haha!!!! he does love his little baths and i put sunflower oil in the water. awww, you will have ur bundle home before you know it. can't wait to see all the pics of these new babies.
poppy, you are too sweet. hey i'm embarassed to admit it, but i've downloaded that rocky song a long time ago. memories from my childhood. i will def play it to adam one day, get him all excited by the beat!! x

9 Weeks !!! I cant believe it's been that long - we've all been so excited by your news with every update, I know we've had lots of early babies now, but baby Adam is just so special as we've been following his fight for so long and he's totally winning... I seriously think you need to consider my earlier post and start playing the Rocky music to him all the time so he knows what a little fighter he is!! You must be so very proud - and desperate to finally get him home and into a routine with some level of normality - it wont be long now so hang on in there. hi, thought you'd all like a little update on adam. he's just over 9 weeks old, can't believe how time flies!! i posted some new pictures of him. i took really good ones but they are too big to upload on this site
so these are just some i took off of my phone. he's really changing now and feels so much stronger when i hold him. he's doing so good, almost totally weaned off his cpap, so i hope he'll be moving to the special care nursery next week instead of intensive care. we had to change hospitals last week, so now we're having to go about 15 minutes further away to see him. they combined two hospitals so there are loads of babies there and i'm seeing some very tiny ones. they are doing so well, it's very reassuring. adam weighs 3 pounds, 5 ounces today and i hope he starts trying to suck soon so we can get that feeding tube out of him!!! he is showing early signs like putting his mouth towards anything you put near it and he'll suck on the tip of my finger a little. he is such a little angel. i can't even believe how much i love him how fascinated i am by him. i feel very blessed and so lucky. can not wait to take him home. i know the time is coming and now i'm starting to really get ready for him. my god, i've seen how many babies have arrived so far!!! it's amazing. can't wait to share baby tips with you all come september. til then i'll enjoy reading all your birth stories. best of luck. xx michele

hello ladies, i just can't help but want to show off my little man!! i've put some new pics up of him that i took yesterday at 7 and a half weeks. he has changed so much this week i think and now nearly 3 pounds. i hope you are all feeling well, love, michele x

I can't believe Adam is on his way to the 3lb party already, what fantastic news ! That s really positive Adam s future is looking so positive and the health visitor sounds like a really good sign too. I'm so pleased you are getting a daily cuddle, that must be such an amazing feeling. Thanks for keeping us posted, take care x

hello ladies, it's been a while since i've updated you on adam's progress so thought i'd fill you in. he is still doing really well, gaining weight incredibly fast now. he's 2 pounds 10 oz. he's getting very active and is a little wriggler, he gets so angry with his cpap they are having to keep it off him more and more!!! just like his mummy, haha, what a temper he has!! he's breathing on his own more than not i'd say now. just found out today he has mild retinopathy of prematurity stage 1 and 2 forgot which eye is which. but they said not to worry and if it gets to stage 3 they will laser him. he's also got a little hernia on his left side apparently very common in premature boys and may need repair in the future. but he seems happy and content and i swear he is smiling sometimes. i get to cuddle him for about an hour every day which i'm loving, he gets so many kisses poor thing!!! he don't seem to mind. so , so far so good. they can't say for sure if he will have any problems long term, but right now it doesn't look like it. i feel so unbelievably lucky. health visitor coming on the 29th so thinking about having him home soon, can not wait. i'm getting fed up of sitting around, don't know what to do with myself!!!! i see some more babies are coming slowly but surely. wow, it's gone so fast. i'm glad they are all doing well. can't wait to see pics of all the new babies and compare birth stories. won't be long. good luck!!!
