Hi Michelle,
That is such encouraging news what a strong little man your Adam is. Im keeping everything crossed that he continues to have no little setbacks. Before you know it you will have a boisterous little boy on your hands.
I fill up when I hear stories like yours as it gives so much inspiration to the pregnant women and how amazing that a tiny person like that can function with a little assistance.

It's lovely that he responds so well to his Mummy & Daddy, it's amazing the strength you can transfer to him by being positive!Every day is a blessing indeed, as with every day that passes he's getting stronger and stronger. My thoughts are with you all........I'm getting positive vibes here & think that everythings going to be ok.

hi michele, little adam sounds like a real fighter, thanks for the update! the staff in the SCBU's are fantastic and they do such a wonderful job i am glad everything is going well so far, love to you and the family and of cause little adam xxx

hello everyone. well adam has been here a few days now and so far so good. i've been in and out of the scbu to see him and i was discharged home yesterday. me and his daddy finally got touch touch him for the first time. i just held his little hand. it was the best feeling in the world. daddy got to touch him first and said adam was kicking his little legs like mad. they've reduced his morphine so he is a bit more active now. his breathing has been very stable so far, which is wonderful. the only trouble they are having is trying to balance his electrolytes, which is a normal problem in babies so tiny. his blood sugar is high so he is on an insulin drip. today the main hurdle is to get a central line in him to give him some nutrition besides sugar and water. so i'll be off to hospital soon and hoping that's all gone well. i got to see a bit more of his little face today. he has lots of black hair!! i had a feeling he would all along actually. his face seems to be changing a bit. he's absolutely perfect to be honest. i'm amazed at what they are doing for such a very tiny little person. the sbcu staff are fantastic. i will be forever grateful to them. i am praying very hard that adam makes it past these next few days with no major difficulties. everyday is a blessing of course. thank you all so much for your support. it makes a huge difference to know so many people are praying for our little boy. i'll keep you all posted on his progress. take care. michele x
