Like someone else has already said, dont feel bad about going back to work, you need to provide for him and the hospital will take great care of him while youre at work.
its amazing that its been 40 days since he was born.
the photo of you and him is lovely, so tiny yet so perfect. Youll be able to show him when hes older.

wow, he truly is inspirational isn't he! He is looking fantastic and is absolutely adorable. Have you been given any indication of when you may be able to take him home?

he has got alot bigger already and is absoloutly gorgeous and what a lot of hair he has, im really glad he is doing so well, it wont be long before he gets to come home,

And you mustn't feel guilty about going back to work - you're doing it to provide for him, and noone can say you've done anything less than your best for this lo.

Wow is it really 40 days since Adam was born ? Thats really positive he s feeding well and really nearly 2lbs. Sorry to hear he'll be a bit further away but I guess its good he'll have the same people caring for him. It must be amazing to have cuddles with your little man. Thanks for keeping us updated, you seem to be coping really well with everything. I hope you and your partner are keeping well x

hello ladies, just want to give you an update on my little man. adam is still thriving and now weighs 1 pound 14.5 ounces, so yes, i'm getting ready for our 2 pound party!!!! he's off his cpap several times a day for 2 to 3 hours and besides a few 'bradys' and 'desats' he's doing excellent. on full formula feed for low birth weight babies plus all kinds of extra nutrients and vitamins but i guess it's working cause his weight is picking up. i'm getting to cuddle him more and do more of his care. i'm just a bit sad because all women and children's services at our hospital are moving at end of month and adam will have to be transferred to a hospital a bit further away. oh well, it's very close to my job though, in halifax. so besides that i can't ask for anything more. i was planning to go back to work and take some time off when he comes home as i am not entitled to anything except smp and that i can't live on really. feel guilty, but in the end at least i can buy nice things for him and get the house really in shape with more cash flow. also, i've just added some new pics from yesterday and today under 'adam 40 days' so take a look if you'd like. hope all of you are feeling good and keeping well. take care. love, michele x

Hi, thanks for the update, wow, with every picture you post you can tell his getting more alert. Im so happy for you that he is continuing to get stronger, im sure he will be at 2lb before you know it. xxxxx

You can tell which pics are new, it's lovely to see the tubes are gradually disappearing & you can really see how much he's growing.
I read your updates out to my partner. When I was in hospital with the chance that my little boy was going to arrive early, I told him about you all & now he likes to be updated when there's fresh newsThankyou for taking the time to keep us informed. Thinking of you all ....
