i measured 45weeks at 39 weeks last year (photo under bumps) it is supposed to be 1cm per week but they say 2cm either side is perfectly normal anything more can indicate a small or larger baby but its so innacurate because of lots of things some mw dont even bother measuring.

because of how big i was measuring last year they told me my baby was at least 9lb at 36 weeks but she was only 8lb3 at 39 weeks so they were waaay off.

I was measuring 33 weeks at 31 weeks.. i think I have been 2 weeks ahead the whole time.. wonder if that means 2 weeks early? she said it didn;t really mean much as it was my 2nd baby - so everything is already stretched and you can measure bigger..

I was measuring 31 @ my 28+4 appt. but as this bubs is another boy I am not bothered about size........with DS2 I was 34 @ 28 so maybe this little man won't hit the 10lb mark after all (thats what they predicting!!)

Like the rest of you ladies i thought it was a cm for every week! Thats what my MW told me. Probably meant 40cm @ 28 weeks would mean your carrying an elephant.

My midwife told me that it was a cm for every week, i was really pleased as I was 27cm at 27 weeks...i hope it's true as I has had enough of people saying i look further on than u am, and 40cm wouldn't be that big would it?

G/c from DIA, maybe she meant if you were 40cm at 28 weeks then you'd be carring an elephant!!! Cos thats how it works, i was 28cm at my 28 week check, 32cm at 32 weeks, & 34 cms at 34 weeks, usually it dont matter if ur a few cms under or over. Find out 2morrow wot im at 36 weeks, cant wait.

I went for my 28wk midwife appointment on Weds and when she measured me from top of the uterus to my pubic bone is measured 26.5. Last time at my 24 week one i measured 24.5.

I thought i'd read that the amount of cms you are is related to how many weeks you should be. I told the midwife what I thought I'd read and she said if you measured 40cm at 40 weeks you'd be carrying an elephant!

Did anyone else think like me or did I dream I read something like that!
