they can turn up to the last minute hun so dont worry about it they can turn daily at the moment without you even noticing.
for me when he or she is bum breech i find i go to the toilet less as baby isnt pressing down on bladder so much and i get the stronger bumps down below inbetween belly button and pelvis and the lighter punches i feel at the top of my uterus.
my midwife hadnt a clue either really as she was shaking his/her 'bum' from side to side for me to show me where it all was and then she felt awful cause that was actually the head lol. for me it was more because she could only get the heartbeat by putting the doppler low down that she said breech.
I saw my midwife 2 weeks ago and she had a feel and a measure and she said she couldnt tell what position.
the consultant was feeling too and said he didnt know

When my boy kicks / punches its always below my belly button, and thats where she finds the heartbeat, in fact the heartbeat has always been down there.
Im terrified of having a section and dont want one.
my midwife was showing me the bum and the head on baby then tried to find the hb and it was in a weird place so she told me baby was breech at the moment.
i tell by the kicks when he or she has butt down the kicks are lower down and when head down i feel kicks in my ribs. i can tell when he or she has been turning because my stomach hurts like hell especially in the mornings. just wish baby would pick a way to lie like my others did and get comfy this little one seems to be a figdet lol
Been to see my midwife today and got told my baby is in the breech position. She just felt around on my bump Jessica lol they obviously know what their feeling for

I'm 29 weeks now, and the other week at my midwife's she told me he was breech. She couldn't find his head but felt his little bum just underneath my belly button!
Where i thought he was kicking, he was punching! I think he's tryin to stand up too! Trouble is it really makes me need the toilet cos the pressure is huge.
anyone?
For me the kicks are on and around the cervix, it feels like he is trying to stand some days lol, that is because he is feet breech and has been for a while now...i think when it is a bottom breech the kicks are slightly higher definately below the belly button still.

How do you know when your baby is breech?
I asked last week at the hospital where the baby was, like where is is head, wheres his feet as id love to know, but the consultant and the doctor said they couldnt tell and didnt know respectivley.
im so curious to know how you know
There are things you can do to help, one is when you feel the baby kicking, moving etc get on all fours and move around. Next is one of those gym balls, when you watching TV to sit on one of those but sit forward, the other is to sit on the edge of your sofa and never sit back on the sofa with feet up on the table etc, its all about gravity so bear this in mind when doing all of the above. Hope he turns for you xx
Thanks for all the replies, sorry it took so long to reply but my laptop died and sending it off to be fixed so we down to 6 of us sharing one again, oh well.
Troy is still breech, turned for all of 12 hours, the reason i'm worried more than anything is because i'm at high risk for a pph and midwife said i might not be able to have a ecv, or a natural delivery and i'm scared to death of having a c-section. i rang midwife for a chat the other day about it and still not too happy, but have to go see consultant if he still breech at next appointment.

My twins are lay really awkward, Twin 1 is lay breech on a slant and twin 2 is lat tansverse under my ribs lol Ive been told not to worry, plenty of time for them to move about yet x
i agree try not to worry hun plenty of time yet. mine is breech at the moment keeps going back to normal going on movements but then returns to breech i can tell by the kicks have to say i dont mind the breech low down kicks im finding them less painful than when they are pushing into your ribs with their feet.

i wouldn't worry too much hun. my brother was breach the whole way thorugh. mum said they used to turn him every week at her midwife appointment and he'd promptly move straight back - typical awkward boy!! she had a a week late with no problems with him turning on his own. they said he must have just been comfortable taht way and turned when he was ready to make an appearance.
Girl i work with is 34 weeks and breach also but her midwife is not worried at all. try not to stres hun
Homeopaths will often prescribe high dose pulsitilla to turn a breech baby. My midwife mentioned moxibustion the other day which is a chinese herb burned over specific acupuncture sites, and apparently it is very good. My baby was breech at 20 week scan, but mw thinks it has turned now. Hope so. However, I have to have a growth scan anyway at 32 weeks so they will check presentation then as well. If it is still breech, I will be trying both!
Hope that helps.

Hi, I went to see a homeopathy lady this week and I ve got some suppliments to take to keep me and baby in good health and she told me if My baby is breech at 35 weeks to go back and see her and there is a homeopathy remedy that can work to turn the baby round - no idea how it works but she used to be a midwife and said it has worked on ladies she has treated with breech babies. Maybe try looking into it on the web or see if there is a homeopathist in your area who you could speak to for some advice - hth x
Hi, My first lo was breech, all the way through and didnt move - resulting in a c-sect. They did however say that until about 37-38weeks there is room to move, however it gets less and less likely. There are things you can try yourself, crawling around on your hands and knees a lot is the main thing. Im going to be scanned at 34weeks this time and if this one is breech again then my c-sect date will be moved forwards. They also scan you the moment before you have a c-sect incase it has moved head down and if it has, they cancel the c-sect. Try not to worry - apart from spending your life on your hands and knees, theres not a lot you can do about it.
I'm 31+3 and have a breech baby fingers crossed she will turn in time as I'm not having an ECV I don't like the idea

Is anyone else currently carrying a breech baby?
Midwife seems sure that baby Troy will turn in plenty of time, i'm 30 weeks tomorrow, but he has been literally feet down, not bottom, for the past three weeks constantly, and it damn well hurts. Excuse the language but it is very painful and annoying and had some spotting as well cos he keeps kicking my cervix area.
Anyone got any ideas for him to move? I've heard being on my knees with butt in air and chest to the floor will help make bit more room for him to move. Also massages on the stomach also supposed to encourage him to turn. Any ideas welcome, even if they sound odd.
Jena 30 weeks tomorrow with an awkward breech boy.

plus breech doesnt have to mean a c section you always have the right to try normal delivery first infact if this baby ends up breech at the time i will insist on trying normally as i dont want a c section and i feel its very important for women to try and go normally as less and less midwives are experiencing breech deliveries because too many people jump to have a c section and the art of delivering a breech baby normally is slowly being lost. breech isnt a complication its jusy a variation on a normal delivery and depending on what type of breech baby is in (there are a few different types of breech) can make a huge difference.
