Hey Sapnaz
How u been?? Still in slow labour?? Hopefully not for much longer
Millie is totally amazing, she is sooo good and I am totally smitten

I Love being a mommy and wonder what I did before she arrived. Feels like she's been here forever, can't explain it, it just feels right

Giving birth is a strange experience, worse in some ways than expected but better in others. It is true though that when they hand you your baby you really don't care what you've been though and forget all about it!! I think that the anticipation of what it will be like is worse than actually doing it.
Good luck and keep me posted how its going

Hi Trish!!
Sure everything will be fine when you are in!! Most of the probs were because it was just sooo busy. One of the midwives was telling me it was the busiest weekend they had all year!! All these festive season babies. Good luck
PS avoid the mashed potato at all costs LOL

big congratulations to you

Hello,
Hmmmm...not so sure about the slow labour bit anymore- I think that's what the docs and midwives say when they don't know what else to say to you maybe, because It's been 4 weeks since I was told that ,and NOTHING ! Even the lower back ache disappears somedays ( although it does come back worse than ever on others).
Ignore me, I'm being a miserable c*w because I'm tired of waiting
I've never had the patiance to wait for things, and this not knowing when the baby is going to arrive is something I'm finding really difficult. I wish they could just give me a definate date. Also, it's made worse by the fact that after going to hospital at 35 weeks, and being told baby might make an early appearance, it hasn't , and the last 4 weeks have felt a lot longer as a result
Ah well....it'll come when it's ready. Have resigned myself to the fact that it'll be overdue now. I've just been getting really paranoid about the whole movement thing each day as well, and if the bay is moving enough etc, after reading 3 sad stories recently on Bounty about the poor ladies who lost their babies so close to delivering
my dh thinks I should keep away from Bounty for a while and even threatened to put a bar on the computer last night so I couldn't access it for a while ( he knew better than to try taking something away froma pregnant hormonal woman though
).
Your Millie is a cutie alright ( was looking at the pics in your profile). Is your df helping out with nappies and things? Does she look extra tiny when he picks her up ? It always brings a smile to my face to see dads with their tiny babies
I suppose in a way Millie has been there forever, like you said. Well...for 9 months at least...as she was there with you in your tummy all that time, in your home, during pregnancy
Birth wise, I'm just gearing myself up to expect it to be THE worst pain even, and for it to go on for days
That way, anything I experience will be less traumatic in comparison. Having said that, I expect I'll feel the 1st twinge and be crying and begging to be knocked out before i even reach a few centimetres
!
Off to have a big breakfast not ( still got the excuse to be muching for 2).
Great to hear you've got labour our of the way and are enjoying being a mum
Keep us updated in how things go, and I'll hopefully be here telling you my birth story sooner, rather than later!
Take care hun xx
