thanks austin. she's doing great considering she can't move much yet, but is trying her best right now as i type! lol dh says its a blessing in disguise as we can leave both of them in the same room right now and not worry about dd1 getting to the baby

yea we were told to not be surprised either, if she suddenly 1day started walking! she's trying to scoot a little today, so see how long before starts running again...
i'm not sure about bathing her, cuz we were told to not even try that, just wipe her with wet cloth etc until its off!!?

i am loving every second of it. Lorien is a star she really is good.
she has taken really well to the breast and get this........ has slept through the night since being born! i literally give her a big feed at 11.pm and she wakes up for her next one at 7.am! fingers crossed it lasts.
only downside for me at the moment is getting out and about with a double pram as i have never had to before.
recovery from the birth was nothing just had to remind myself that i had given birth and needed to rest for as long as possible because having her at home really can get you in that mind set that nothing has happened to your body and its easy to overdue things. probably helped that i tripped and sprained my ankle the day after i had given birth so i literally couldnt get out and about too far.

Preet, have to send you lots of sympathy that dd1 has broken her leg. When ds1 was 6 weeks old dd fell over and broke her leg (she was 2.5yrs old). Plaster up to thigh for 6 weeks, then up to knee for 3 weeks - should have been 2 but she got chicken pox so couldn't go to hospital to have it taken off.
Advice would be to get online and buy a cover for it so they can get in the bath, sorry but I can't remember what they are called, but you measure dd and they make it for you. Also I bought some stretchy cheap beach shoes in a big size for the plaster covered foot, you might still be able to find some in a sale. The doctor said she shouldn't walk on it for 2 weeks but stopping her was next to impossible.
Hope everything heals well, i'm sure it will, you'll be amazed at how well she deals with it. My dd is almost 6 now and you'd never know it happened.

dd2 was 1wk y.day! doing good as can i guess- with a 1wk old who is pretty good, easy to look after, wasnt latching on though, so now i'm just bottle feeding expressed mild and formula here and there when no ebm left in the fridge and i havent had chance to express lol
throw in the picture- dd1, 18mths, fractured leg with a teeny tiny fall standing on the floor after 4days of new baby's birth and 2days of us being home from hospital!! now can't stand or walk on her own, so has to carried and obviously needs more attention cuz of the plaster cast on her whole leg!!
also throw in the picture- i'm really sore from all the stitching they did after delivery as my old episiotomy scar completely tore! and they haven't dissolved yet....
dh has been really helpful so-far and has been doing night feeds after i do dreamfeed around 10pm, so i'm getting some decent sleep atleast, for good few hrs at night

Finding it much easier second time, feel more relaxed and enjoying it more. Baby is much more placid than his older brother, think it's because I am bottle feeding this time. Just need to get used to his cries because sometimes I'm not certain if it's wind, hunger or tiredness...I've wasted a few bottles when I thought it was hunger and it wasn't! Loving being on maternity leave!!! Hope it goes slowly!

I'm just finding it tiring with the night feeds. My lo only akes up a few times a night, but 2nd feed goes goes on over an hour. Or longer if she sometimes as she may fall asleep, but then wake up 5 mins later and decide she's hungry again.
Loving being a mum, my 1st baby, but still adjusting to having no time to do things for myself. Even have to rush brushing my teeth and get ready in stages around her waking up, feeding, nappy changes etc

Ok, i am loving it, out same day as i gave birth, no stitches and baby is fantastic, but i've been running around like a nutter, my daughter has visited every day to play with my new toy, while my beautiful but into everything grandaughter and my 2 toddlers trash the place as i try to keep it kind of clean!!! And to top it all i have a bad chest infection now and on my way to nursery this morning the car broke down on a busy road, with me, my 2yr old and the baby going to pick Maffy up at nursery, thank god for the 2 guys behind me who stopped their van and came to my rescue, pushing the car around into a carpark nearby...... no thanks to the 2 police who had pulled into it and ignored the stranded woman and her 2 young children, luckily i caught my mum to get me! My week can only get better, going to go stare lovingly into my babies wee face! lol. Aud + baby Jamie 1 week old today XXXXX

Emma is 11 days now and really settling in. She even sleeps 5 - 7 hours at night so i don't feel quite so exhausted. I did overdo things what with having a 10lb 6 baby then trying to prove my MIL wrong and do everything i now have a prolapse so plenty of pelvic floor exercises until my gp pulls their fingers out and refers me onwards.
