Gina Ford has no children of her own, how can she understand the day to day demands of a family and a new addition. I have found it impossible to lead a "normal" life using her routines...... rant rant rant!

I have also been trying this routine, I am ready to throw the book out of the window!! I cant wake my baby up, she just wont even if I change her nappy, and the routine doesnt fit into the school run either. Its not for me I am giving it a miss!! x

With my DD (now nearly 3) I followed the Baby Whisperer routine from a few weeks old, and dipped into the GF routine when I was struggling. I thought her routines were too demanding and prescriptive, but she did have some good points different from baby whisperer.

I'd say stick with it in general, but don't beat your self up if you can't do it religiously. And also, they are all individuals so will do what they want. I think consistency is the key with babies, whether you follow an authors routine or your own.

    Good luck x
