Brill , thanks I'll get some today. If it dosn't work, I'll hen go to docs to see if it's amore serious reflux problem.

for pp, hang in there and wait and see if gaviscon kicks in in a few days as past DIS mum wrote in other thread, or try changing milk as moos suggested. I knowit's not easy when your baby is upset, but you are doing what you can to make them better so dont' get disheartened

It sounds like Infacol would help your lo, I havent had to use it yet but it was great with my son, he was really restless and I could see him struggling but with Infacol he was doing some great burps and I could see the relief and he was alot more content x

    Thanks for all the info

Didn't realise you could use infacol from birth!

Silly question, but would it be useful for my baby- she gets trapped wind when eating and then wriggles aorund grunting, and recently bringing her knees up to  her stomach. Can't always get her to burp.

She then vomits straight away ( sometimes looks like most ofher feed cming back up) or vomits when you lay her back down to go to sleep ( so I've been propping her up in her little electric swinging chair instead so she's not lay flat

She is also starting to get a bit upset with teh tapped wind, and it stops her sleeping as she just wriggles around grunting!

Gripe water yo ucan use from 1month old. Mum used it with us as kids, that's why I automaticaly bought it

Sterilised dummies and syringe with ds 2 1/2 yrs ago but only for 1st few months. This time round the dummy has never been sterisileda and if it goes on the floor or gets fluff on it goes in my mouth or under the tap. dd has had no adverse reaction! Syringe goes in the dishwasher or gets a quick rinse out under the hot tap! Don't get too hung up on sterilisation! Good luck. x

i steralise dummies day/night as well just when i'm doing that rest of the bottles.  i've also got a handy wee tub i can keep them in when she's not using them to save them being in pockets/ lying in the pram.

i've never used gripe water, but did have to give LO antibiotics a few weeks ago and i steralised the syringe after every use, just in the wee dummy storage tub, cause it doubles as a steraliser as well.

HI, yep I sterilise dummies after a day/night too, or if they been dropped on the floor! I will pour boiling water over them too if Im desperate!

As for gripe water, we triedit with DS (3) and it made him projectile vomit, so be carefull! We sticking to Infacol this time x

hi there i always steralised the syringes but then again last time i was a bit neurotic about cleaning everything, i steralised dummies after a day/night use.

    I have a questionSapnaz

..I'm hoping to give my dd a dummy as of nxt week ( when I'llalso introduce expressed breast milk in a bottle for part of her feeds, as well as breastfeeding), and I was wondering how you are all sterilising your dummies, and how often?

Got an electric steam sterilser, but can yo just dunk them in cup of boiling water to quickly sterilse them?

Also, got some Gripe water, and been advised to give it with a little syringe. Has anyone done this, and do you sterilse syringe inbetween, or just rinse in normal water?
