Grr at Ikea! That is so naughty! I think you should kick off big style and there is a chance they may cut the cost of delivery (our Ikea does delivery, hope all do, lol!) I can;t believe you drove for over 2 hrs! Where is your nearest one? I'm really lucky cos we have one here in Warrington.I'm struggling to get of the sofa, in and out of bed etc. It's not really cos of the bump, it's the pains associated with having a baby pressing down on my lady bits!!! You think God would have been kinder to women don't you
I can;t believe your OH filmed you. Make sure it isn't on You Tube! My DP watched me struggle to get up off the sofa the other day to see to a boiling opan of spagetti and waited until i have just got on my feet and he shot up and said, "i'll go" Grr Angry Pregnant Woman!!!!!!!!! I sent him the shops for some choc in retaliation, lol!I have had the results of my 24-hour ECG and they said i have ventricular ectopics and infrequent missed beats. I have to have it repeated once i've given birth to ensure it is only pregnancy induced. If it's not then we have to look at some options for me, but i'm pretty sure i didn't feel anything like this before i was pregnant.
How are you enjoying being off? I'm bored out of my mind! I have chores to do but can't be bothered, but other than that i'm just sat around on Bounty all day waiting for my baby to put in an appearance.
Well, I hope to see you on here again soon, lol! I hope you get your nursery furniture sorted.

Long time no post................I swear I'm busier now than I was when I was at work! Beckie, did u get ur electrode results? Hope all is well?
Well, been in tears 2nite over baby furniture. Me and Mum went 2 Ikea 2 buy a nursery set. Nearest store is 2 hrs drive away so we made a night of it and stayed in a cute little pub nearby, ate a lovely meal followed by a MOUNTAIN of profiteroles! Anyway, got cot and other little bits (blankets, sheets, changing mat etc) but left the main bits of furniture as was assured by 2 members of staff we could buy it on line....................PANTS ON FIRE!!!! Apparently the wardrobe, chest of drawers, toybox and shelves are not avaliable on line, only in store! Couldn't believe it! Big fibbers! Gonna ring up 2moro and go mental at them
So girls, please reassure me and tell me that u r both struggling 2 get up off the sofa?! I'm enormous and feel like a hippo! Hubby thought it was hilarious 2 video me trying 2 get off the couch the other day..............the git! I look like that beached whale that got washed up in The Thames last year!

The 24 hour hook-up went okay. The electrode left a mark on my neck/chest for days! I'll get my results next Thursday hopefully and fingers crossed everything comes back as normal.
I've not heard anything from my health visitor. I hope she's nt too nosey either. My mum reckons they make an excuse to go into the kitchen or the bathroom. I hope my nesting instinct kicks in soon.
I'm at hospital this morning for monitoring. I'm really fed up now. I'm 36+2 I can;t sleep, ache all the time and have got a stinking cold and headache. I feel like i'm constantly moaning
Sorry.I spoke to Emmajayne and had some texts from her. She seems okay. She has been realy suffering with SPD, but the consultants can't do anything for her

How did ur 24hr hook up go? Hope ur bit better now. My feet have decided 2 swell up like fat little balloons! It's horrid! And hubby is sick of me asking him 2 rub them, grrrrr! Hoping now I've finished work they might go down a bit.
So, I've only been off work one day and already I'm freakin out about getting bored! I've got TONS of stuff still 2 do but it's all domesticated stuff (cleaning, washing, ironing etc)..........in other words BORING STUFF!
Emmajayne................u ok? Long time no hear? U started ur mat leave @ one of ur jobs yesterday didn't u? HOORAH!!!
Have either of u 2 had a letter from ur health visitor? Mine is coming on Sept 17th to introduce herself, hope she's nice (and not too nosey!)

Hi Tiggle, No i'm home thank god. I saw the registrar again yesterday and cos my bp has come down and stayed down they are not as concerned as they were which is good. However, i've been having palpitations and the registrar sent me for an ECG and they now want me to do a 24 hour tape
I have to go in at 10:15 to be hooked up to a portable machine, but fortunately I can take the machine home and don't have to stay in hospital for 24 hours. I was in Ante Natal Day Unit for 5 hrs yesterday and the last 2 hrs of that i spent crying, i just wanted to go home. Stupid hormones. I told the midwife looking after me that i'm not telling them anything no more and i mean it. I'm sick of test and bloods and swabs being prodded and poked etc...I've never had a smear cos when i went my Dr's they told me that you don't have them until your 25 now
I went to my Dr's when i was 22 over something and I mentioned to her then about it and she said that you don't have them done now until your 25. When i told my MW this she was shocked and said it was a load of rubbish. They are different helth authorities though so who knows 
Work have decided to start my mat leave as the reason i'm off is pregnancy related
I was wondering the same as you about Sarah. I think it is SarahJayne and she is the lady who lost her waters a couple of months ago. I can't imagine what she's going through.
How are you getting on? Not long until you finis now? Are you taking the full year?

Hi Beckie, how was hosp this morning? Where r u, home or still there? I can't believe this has happened 2 u so near the end of ur pregnancy, poor u, stressful or what? I don't know much about this condition, does it make u feel unwell or r u ok in urself? Fingers crossed ur home mate, being woken up every 4 hours doesn't sound like much fun!
Can't believe u have never had a smear......naughty u! Don't worry 2 much, they r not too bad, def don't hurt or anything, it's just the embarressment factor, once u have had one ur not bothered at all by them.
Well, ur work situation sucks! Won't it b classed as sick leave? Hopefully u will b told u can go 2 work (I'll keep my fingers crossed 4 u), but if not try not 2 fret. My manager only had 6 weeks with baby after the birth, she said it wasn't ideal but she managed. In fact, cos she knew she had such little time it made her mega-organised! She even had the baby in such a routine she was sleeping right through by 8 weeks!

I'm home for now
They were monitoring me for pre-eclampsia concerns (although it's not called pre-eclampsia apparently it's something of other hypertension!!!) My blood pressure was up and had traces of protein in my urine again, plus i have been getting these heacaches and flashing lights every now and again,
I had a routine antenatal and so i mentioned the flying fish as i have nicknamed them lol, to the midwife. She rang labour ward and they asked me to go in for monitoring. when i got there i had to do another urine sample and blood pressure check. Then she hooked me up to a monitor with two straps, one to measure the babys heartbeat and movements and the other monitored any possibe contractions i was having. None there though boo!
Whilst i was hooked up to the machine she took some blood and told me that she also wanted to do a vaginal swab eek! (sorry TMI but that was all new to me as i've never even had a smear!). I was hooked up to the machine for 30 minutes and then she did my bp again.
When the Dr came in he did loads of checks on me and then went away towrite up his notes whist the midwife did my swab. Anyway by this point Rob had arrived and the midwife and Dr disappeared. About 5:30 they both re-appeared and the Dr said that they wanted to admit me for regular monitoring.
Basically every 4 hours fro 5:30pm until i came home at 2:30 this afternoon i have had my blood pressure checked, been hooked up to the baby movement/contraction monitor for 30 mins and had my urine tested. Oh i also have to do a 24 hour urine collection. It started at 19:05 last night, so not long to go now, lol!
I have to go in tomorrow for monitoring at 10:00am and they may let me go home or they may keep me in again. Lets wait and see...
I've been told i can't return to work and i'm gutted. I only get 12 weeks leave (that i can afford anyway) and now i potentialy have 7 weeks without a baby and will be returning to work when he is only 5 weeks only. Gutted

Oh no Beckie, r u in cos of the signs of pre-eclampsia? Poor u. What have they said? Hope u haven't been in 4 2 long, it can get so boring and the TV unit thingy in my hospital is an absolute rip-off! R u hooked up 2 stuff or can u move round if u want? I'll b sending u get well vibes all day! Sure u and bump will b home in no time xxx
p.s If u want an easy but excellent read get hubby 2 go 2 tesco 4 u and pick up No time 4 goodbye by Linwood Barclay (Its in the top 10 sellers). Just finished it, it's a kind of psychological thriller, it's a page turner anyway! Should pass the time if they keep u in

Hiya girls,
I was at Dr's tonight for routine antenatal and he told me i'm showing singns of pre-eclampsia
I have to go back first thing tomorrow for further tests. It's unlikely i'll be returning to work, which doesn't help my blood pressure as my replacement doesn't start until 1st Sept and i don't have anything ready. Any how, i've been put on bed rest from now until first thing tomorrow morning. I'll keep you posted xxxxxxxxxxx
