didn't really do much over the weekend.....i did have an engagement party on saturday night which was good!! i haven't had trouble sleeping because of the summer which everyone told me i would, and i still haven't got a very big bump but the past couple of nights iv had real trouble sleeping, with serious back pain, and 'twinges'!! can't imagine what its like to have a proper bump! and also the all night trips to the loo aren't a favourite of mine!! but its all worth it!

    hi to emma!

HI, I'm from DIN so hope it's ok to post here but not seen many people from Portsmouth in there, then saw this thread. I live in Copnor so am just a few minutes from St Marys and will have this little one there.

Nice to 'meet' some more Pompey people

I had to work Sunday then took the boys to the stunt show up forty acres farm, so was standing all day i really ached yesterday so didn't do much.

Is anybody else having trouble sleeping? i seemed to be waking up 3 or 4 times every night

i think if you had a 12lb'er' first time round it would put you off for life! well hopefully he'l be like me (i was 6lb 4)!

well my thinking was if i leave later i'll have more time after! and i'm also getting a pay rise in september so it will be good to have a bit of extra money before bubs arrives!

I was going to ask if I could downstairs afterwards but to be honest i'm not that bothered about hospitals so if they say no i'm sure it will be ok.

Kay can't beleive ur going to work till 13th oct, im strugling now and i'm leaving 27th sept. I just find i'm so tired I really can't concentrate! I'm hoping measuring a lil bit small means small baby but knowing my luck he was prob just lying awkward and wil lactually be a 12lber!!!!

    hi ladies!!

iv opted for the mary rose unit, not fussed on the epidural, never wanted one anyway.....i'm sure i won't be saying that when im in the swing of things lol!! i'm measuring bang on with dates which suprised my midwife coz iv got a tiny bump, she said i must just be carrying him towards the back which would explain the limp i get when iv been sat in a funny position (bubs on a nerve) hope all is well for everyone else!!

i'm not leaving work until the 13th october......unless bubs has other ideas!!

Thats what i did with my first opted to have him upstairs i really didn't like the though of being moved while in labour if i wanted an epidural luckily i didn't need one but ds1 was big and i tore bad, needed consultant to stitch me up was to bad for the midwife to attempt! so i needed to be upstairs for that anyway. with ds2 i opted for upstairs after what happened with ds1 but all was fine so braving it downstairs this time! i would recommend you go down to Maryrose ward after rather than the staying upstairs cos its much nicer down there after

oh my god ur so lucky! im going down to 4 days a week in september and can't wait for that. was meant to be finishing at the end of august so it gutting to think i would be leaving in 2 weeks. oh well hopefully it will go quick!

i have decided on going into the ward instead of the mary rose unit cos th midwife said if i did opt for an epidural then they would give preference on the people in the ward and seeing as there is a chance i would want one best to be up there.

i'm not feeling to bad actually, just suffering from heartburn!! felt a bit emotional during the week, had a couple of hard days at work and DF's dad and family are staying with us for a week (next week) and just feel a bit overwhelmed by everything i felt i needed to do, and a bit invaded to be quite honest (only had about 2 weeks notice) don't know whether it was my hormones making me feel like that or just coz i felt underpressure, coz i'm still going to be working all week, and thought of having to entertain every night seems a bit daunting!

hope everyone else is feeling well!

I loved the heat yesterday, well when I could be outside enjoying it, although I was sat in the shade it was nice! but now I am at work wishing I could be relaxing outside again. Usually a bit of a sunaholic and was in the sun at every oportunity but i must admit I seem to enjoy the shade alot more now!

im so sorry but i just had to gatecrash from din.

im going to be giving birth in st mary's as well in the mary rose bit hopefully. i had my son there in 2006 and it was brilliant. i couldnt have asked for better midwives (i  was greedy and got 2 as it was a quiet night lol)

i currently live in waterlooville but have lived in portsmouth, leigh park and west leigh.  i did try moving right away to wolverhampton once. only i got very homesick so had to come back.

sorry for gate crashing but there arent many portsmouth mummies in din so just wanted to say hi.
