Im on Iron tablets too, the first lot they prescribed made me really sick so i rang and they changed them.  I was on 3 a day and now 1 a day so i take it before i go to sleep and that seems to be working.  My iron was 8 so i really really need to take them.  It may be worth getting them changed.  I think they give the cheapest options first and if they dont agree you get the better ones!

Thanx for all your replies, felt quite well today, wondering if they just take a few days to get into your system. No sick feelings or running to the loo which was great. Fingers crossed it lasts. Tx

I'm desperately trying to get my iron levels back up from 10.6 to 11 so I can have my HB the tablets made me feel sick too untill someone suggested I take them before I go to sleep, problem solved!

I take 2 before bed, and I've been having two spatones through the day with no probs

I've been getting palpatations which I've found out are due to iron level being low so it's important

Try Spatone -  Its an Iron enriched water sachet. You can mix it with anything, but its best with OJ (Fresh if possible)

Can have 2 sachets a day, and i have never had any side effects. Took it with DD and glad i did as had a bleed after birth then a week later at home. My HB never dropped below 10, and had no side effects. It dos taste a bit like a rusty pipe, but doesn't keep coming back on you if you know what i mean

Can get it in Boots and Holland and Barrett. Its about 7 quids for a 2 month supply

Just ran to the loo again with them, my tummy is constantly churning with them. I think I'll give them another day or 2 and then phone the Doctor. My Iron levels were quite low at 10.7 so I really need to take them!!
