my sisters sons middle name is caleb she loved the name but was put by the fact it means dog or tenacious and aggressive. but he is neither of those he is the most placid little man i have ever known lol.

My eldest son is Nathan which means 'gift from god' which was appropriate in the end as he wasnt planned and with the lifestyle i led before falling with him if id have carried on i really dont think i would be here today without him.

youngest son is kelsey which means 'victorious ship' not sure if it suits him or not but he is so tiny and a proper fighter (has angry/stubborn short man syndrome lol)

eldest dd is Arwen which means 'noble lady' in elvish and 'fair' in welsh she is 5 on the 15th and neither particularly especially when she is dressed as a princesss going upstairsa singing 'im going for a poooo'

youngest dd is Milayna which is a form of Melanie which means dark one which kinda fits as she was the darkest haired of all my children.

We've chosen Evie which means 'Life, living, lively. Famous bearer: the Old Testament mother of the human race who tasted the forbidden fruit, precipitating the Fall of Man.'

Didn't choose the name specifically because of the meaning but I read that Kaleb in the bible was the only one who got to the promised land which I really liked, although not religous in the slightest. Not sure how true it is though, I don't no much about the bible!

has anybody chosen a specific name because of its meaning? or decided on a name then found the meaning is really suited to the child? or its position within the family?

all my childrens names have very strong meanings although it was never the intention, we just lked the names.

My oldest Kai,means sea in hawaian and fire in japan, strange how it means the opposite, it also means the keeper, and he is definately in control.

Then is Farrell, which means the courageous one. didnt think too much of it until his personality came through and he has no fear whatsoever, hes overtaken kai on many physical things, just because he wont let anyone hold him back.

for this baby we have chosen Dexter for a boy, which just means 'main handed',quite vague. For a girl we like Alessa, which after choosing we found out means 'Defender of men', which will come in handy, having 2 older brothers.
