i didnt think it hurt at all. was a little uncomfortable, but only in the sense that a woman was fiddling around down there! Im having another on Friday if this doesnt work, and it hasnt put me off.

I did try it myself but couldn't see and ended up cutting myself so I figured he couldn't do much more damage!!!

Did your sweep hurt? Sorry if a bit personal but does it feel like they are reaching really far up?

theres not much blood, just a little bit but i dont think its a show. im trying not to get my hopes up, but hoping tht she defo disturbed something to make me bleed.

i gave hubby a razor but everytime he got near i was like "NOOOO" i just couldnt let him do it lol. so had to make do with a trim! haha.

OO do you bleed lots after a sweep is that a show?

I gave my husband a razor, some shaving foam and let him lose on mine and bless him he did a really good job. I even felt quite proud flashing my well manicured bits to the docs last week (is that wrong???  )

also, take a pad for after, cos im bleeding a little bit.

yu could wear a panyliner or something before appt and then remove it a little before, might feel a bit fresher then!

haha, nope, i let DH trim it for me a little bit but no i think its still a mess! i cant see it though so im under the impression, if i cant see it no-one can! lol. im sure she will have seen worse, plus she covered me with a towel so she wasnt really looking loads anyway, its not like it was all on show it was quite dignified lol. xx

I know im soooo consious about down there that I have started carrying FemFresh hygiene wipes round with me incase anything happens and I need to have a quick freshen up before I get to the hospital!lol

I have a feeling they might want to give me a sweep at my appointment on Thursday, so I'm going to have a ittle tidy up in that general area, but I don't think it matters too much.

As long as you're all washed and clean!  My appointment is first thing so hopefully I won't be too damp and gross by then with all the discharge

bit of a personal question so I apologise but I am a first timer and been thinkning about this! Did you go anything with 'down there' before the sweep. I havent been able to do anything with mine for months so bothered that they are going to think I am bit of a scruff. I am sure they have seen it all before but it doesnt look very neat if you know what I mean. x

yeah she told me to lay on a towel, i did bleed a little and there was some on the towel so glad i did! ha. xx

Well its here. TODAY is my Due date! hurrah!

Midwife has just been to house and done a stretch and sweep, (which wasn't bad at all just a tad uncomfy) But she didnt sound v.promising about it working. she said my cervix was closed but babys head was down. not really sure what that means. It has made me bleed a little which she said is normal so hopefully she has disturbed something!!
