Hi yea i got the green one too i cant wait to put my little princess in it just hope a buggy board will fit it tho as i have a lil boy who will be just 2 and not good at walking far and i dont drive otherwise ill have to use my big heavy tandem

god i thought it looked tiny in john lewis compared with my quinny zapp, there is no way my 3yr old would fit in it and she is still in 18month old clothes. Maybe they had that nest thing on it.24/8/08 08:44
MY DS is 3 and fits in the bee fine!
24/8/08 08:42
Hey Rachie, you got the same deal as me What colour did you get? i Got the green one. I looked at the bee and if you live in london and tube it all the time then i can see the appeal but it is way too small inside, i don't think a baby would last more than a year in it.24/8/08 08:20
Becca i got the herbie too i just fell in love with it plus when i bought it it had 200 quid knocked off it otherwise i wouldnt have got it lol and round me no one has a herbie loads of people have bugaboo and i really do like them but my dh would not allow me to spend that much on a pram (mean git)
i really liked the bee and i was ver close to getting that but i wanted a carry cot

The changing bags are extra although I wouldn't recommend the bugaboo ones. I had a look at them in the shop with my mum and the top is really narrow so you can't see what is in the bag. I'm getting a skip hop one which is nice and roomy with lots of pockets and a changing matt. There is lots to chosse from out there though so have a shop about.

Hello all!
The bee dont come with the carrycot but it can be rear facing and you buy a baby nest but they are quite pants and will only last for 6 weeks max! So a total! But you would just need to buy the pram, car seat and base! Plus the footmuff if wanted!
The cameleon bases I pick up all over! I have got some from ebay and others I have ordered direct from bugaboo, via a store where I am known! The carrycot works out at about £70, the seat unit is about £50 and the underseat bag is £25 but you have to wait 6 weeks! I also swap with people I know, I have a brand new set of blue bases at the mo that I am looking to go!
If you need more help, its prob best to PM me at the mo!

Hi gatecrashing from DIM, hope you don't mind

Bring-Back-BN4, when you say you've bought a few base fabrics for your bugaboo, where did you get them from? i was under the impression you could only replace the top fabrics?
22/8/08 12:51
BN4, if i go in for the bugaboo bee - do i get the carrycot in the 350? and then the seat + base extra? do i still need to buy the footmuff? raincover (or i am not sure if u said that its included in the 350)? what about a changing bag? would i need one?

i have bought the herbie and i really like it the reason that we didn't buy the bugaboo , apart from price is that everyone where we live seem to have the bugab oo or the quinny buzz, have you tried the joolz?21/8/08 18:24
www.babyzoop.co.uk have cameleon packages that are the best I have found. With the 'loyalty discount' added in (see top of homepage) you can get the cameleon with maxi cosi car seat and isofix base for £710. Think this is what we are going to go for but are going to make final decision this weekend!

The cameleon seat cant be used untill 6 months but you get the carrycot anyway!
The bee is cool, I love it! Its light, easy to push ect!
The nest will only last about 6 weeks maybe, so you really wont need it if you dont intend to use the pram much at first! And you can use it without!
And you get the raincover ect with it!
Its about £350, plus car seat and adaptors!

The chameleon comes with a rain cover. I personally feel I need the carrycot as I plan to go for long (ish) walks to help burn off some lard plus I don't want to be tied to the house just because I don't have the right pram. The chameleon price does include the carrycot anyway.
I looked at the bee (I think BN4 has a bee too) but didn't like it as much as it seems a bit lowdown - the actual pram not the handles - and a bit flimsy for a newborn. If you won't be taking baby out while its tiny though then it should be fine. Its very popular, everyone has them where I live!

thanks girls. i dont think i'll be taking the baby out much in the first three months so i was thinking may be i dont need a carrycot. this is of course, assuming that i can keep the baby in the seat from 3/4 months old and before that if i wnat to take the baby out for like under an hour or so he can be in the car seat. is my assumption correct? or do i definitely need a carrycot? what about raincover? should i postpone buying that until later? and the chaning bag? have you two bought the chaning bags? finally, how does the chamelean compare against the bee? i think bee is cheaper - this may be daft but what's the difference between the two?

Oh I absolutely love cow print. I've bought a really cute cow print buggy snuggle which probably won't get used anyway as like you say the baby will be in the carrycot bit this winter.
Can you get different tailored fabrics to use with the denim base then? I can see my bugaboo obsession becoming dangerous. Is this how you started?
21/8/08 16:09
Jodylou, I opted for denim too! But have then ordered base fabrics in Brown, Blue, red, DK Gray! I cant help myself!
Ordered about 5 top fabrics too, and a few custom made one! My fave is the chavvy cow print fur and hot pink! Its so lush! lol
But you really dont need a footfuff coz you will use the carrycot and then the seat in the summer, might be something to add next year!

I got mine in denim as it saved me having to pick a colour - so many to chose from! It costs about £50 extra to have in denim. I paid £679 which includes the carry cot, the seat (which faces both ways) and I also bought the car seat adapters so you can fit a maxi cosi car seat on which cost just under £30.
I bought mine from a shop locally to me which isn't a chain but you can get them in mothercare and also John Lewis and I think their prices are pretty much them same. It all looks a bit confusing on the websites though as they price the tailored fabric separatley. John Lewis also has the costing for the other accessories too. I decided not to get the footmuff this year as the baby will be in the carrycot part for this winter.
21/8/08 15:27
Its about £650 for the pram and £200 for seat with base but you will need adapters for £30 too!

ok assuming i do want to buy bagaboo - which the best place to buy it? and around how much would the whole thing cost me? i not only need the pushchair but also need a car seat, base and footmuff and raincover (am i missing out on any other essentials)

girls, finally bought the bugaboo bee in red yesterday from mothercare- the whole thing worked out close to 650 (with the 10% discount) (the bee, footmuff, car seat, base, car seat adaptors, neatseat protectors for our leather seat). am so glad to have sorted that out
