Thanks Angel
This board is fab. It certainly gets you in the right mental frame of things and makes everything seem so ...... real.. lmol (if that makes sense)..
As this is the last one, I definately want to 'go through it'.. and know what its all about. I just hope that its successful (and i don't end up with an emergency section half way), and I would love to have a short labour like yours, my sister was in labour for nearly 48hours. eeeeeeeeeeeeekh....

well ive not had a c section but gave birth to all 3 of mine naturally. the longest was my first which from start to finish was 6 hours, the next 2 were only 2 hours long. personally i dont think it is as bad as people make out. i love giving birth and believe me the pushing doesnt take that long and as soon as your holding your little one you dont even think about it.
as for the pooing on the bed my midwife told me they dont tell half the mums if they have they just wipe it away when they are cleaning up so no one knows. but i asked my oh and he sed i didnt with any of them.
it is just the most amazing and natural thing for you to do, so keep your chin up hun and just look forward to it. and like chrissie sed its lovely feeling your waters go naturally and contractions starting and being able to tell oh that its starting.xxxx

Lol yeh, i dont want dp going down there while its all going on.
And thats one of the reasons i wanted a natural birth, the excitement of my waters breaking or contractions starting, and calling dp to tell him he's gonna be a daddy

You're not mad hunni. I had the option of an elective this time due to a bad experience with ds. But despite everything that went on with ds i am having a natural birth again. Of course it hurts... theres a reason they say its the closest pain to death! But i'm actually really loking forward to it. Just have to remember why you are going through the pain... your about to meet your LO.
And also you can be out of hospital with a few hours, rather than recovering from the op. As for the pooping thing, even if you did i doubt you'd know. I reckon i probably did but i dont know
And for you foo loking funny afterwards.... dont worry about it. I'd already had ds when i got with dp so he's only ever known me post birth, but he really thinks i have the 'perfect' one lol

Your not mad babes, not having had a csection but speaking to mums aho have had them and then gone on to have vbac, they say it makes them feel more empowered that they had done it the way god inteneded so to speak. regards pooing on the table, i think the midwifes would worry if you didn't, it shows you are pushing

Well, after having an amazing birth c-section with DS due to breech (even though it wasn't my original plan), I'm now opting for a VBAC (vaginal birth)....... and so far so good, she is head down in pelvis and everything looks fab....
The only thing is everytime I tell people (including my DH) they just laugh and say I'm mad... I've suffered from severe period cramps my whole life.. like knife stabbing, eye pulling, gut ripping pain, that leaves me passed out or motionless. and even though I haven't had them for nearly a year.. I still remember how terrible they were... and the thought that child birth is worse than that....

I then mad the mistake of watching a full of birth video, and I nearly passed out... and also lots of women have posted about pooping on the table. Plus, what happens to your cookie after everything, some people say it goes 'funny'..... looking....
AM I FRIGGEN MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
