I felt the same Sam! had been getting them on my hips (which I'd had before anyway from putting on weight) but until last week had avoided getting any on my belly. Now they are starting to make their way across and like you i find it a bit devastating, but I know they'll fade eventually, and am too looking forward to baby arriving to let it get me down! At least we know we're all in the same boat! x7/9/08 07:58

Oh love, don't worry about them. Stretch marks always look worse when you first get them. I remember first seeing the ones on the bottom of my bump with dd and they looked like red flames going up my belly (probably not making you feel better, sorry). They did fade to silver really quickly though and I stopped noticing them. I can see them more now I'm preggers with dd2 but don't have any new ones...yet! I agree with Louise, no amount of moisturising will stop them if you're going to get them, it's down to skin type. I see mine as little reminders of how well I grew my lo!

Hey hun, try not to let it get u down, i have them too and i think most women do get them and its only a few lucky ones that dont. I dont have loads and after having 3 kids already im expecting to get loads this time. I personally think it dosen't matter how much u moisturise if ur going to get them u will. Keep ur chin up and just think u will have a beautiful baby to show for them. xxx
