    Hi Ladies

I've been told I have this today - out of interest what was your levels of fluid at 38 weeks (if you know) - the normal range i am told is between 20mm and 80mm and mine is 86mm which i presume isn't considered a massive amount over....?

i too googled and am worried!!

GC from DID.  I just got told today I have polyhdramnios, and although I am booked in to see a consultant next week, they didn't tell me much about it - googling has worried me, but you ladies have calmed me a little.  I am 31+6 today, mw measured me at 35 weeks, scan has baby at 32+3 so not too worried on his size, just the enormous amount of fluid I have.

she came out at nearly 38 weighing in 7lbs 13 oz lol

wiggy i had a normal delivery last time with polyhydramnious and am going for one this time too. they just like to monitor you and induce you rather than run the risk of waters going

    Thanks eva so much Keeley!!.

After reading these posts it made me giggle cos i just remember in my previous pregnancy when my waters broke i have never seen anything like it i kept saying i could have filled a bath and 5 hours later it was still trickling out at the hospital i gave up on towels and knickers and i had a trail walking into the hospital. LOL.  I am 19 + 6 at the mo due 25th February so i do have a while to go but i was just seeing if anyone else has suffered in subsequent pregnancies.

it would be interesting to know if any ladies have had a normal delivery?. I had an emergency C.section last time and hoping for a normal delivery this time round. x

keeley ive got a bump pic under fat bump in my profile for my hugeness atm lol although that was week to 2 ago.

please dont google, i did that first time and it wasnt as bad as they said, as once diagnoised drs can be fab for it.

although i should take my own advise as my baby has just shown a problem with its tummy this week,  and i googled it and spent three days in tears but i know not to rely on it iygiwm

also the one thing about my dd last time was, they scanned me and said she was 9lbs and a half at 36 weeks she only came in at 7lbs 13 oz 2 weeks later lol.

she was a very refluxy baby and they said this can cause build up of water too as baby isnt swallowing enough so thats why it built up

i had this last time and am already on the borders this time

ive been lucky and been under cons care for this since day one. they gave me a scan which showed high levels again, and am having to be re scanned in 4 weeks and if it hasnt ccalmed down they will induce me

it is scary tbh, as you dont want you waters to go. if they do head down bum up ring mw asap.

it isnt t common, you can have high levels of water without it being polyhydramnious. as waters can go up and down throughout pregnancy.

try to rest as much as possible, and it can help too.

if you need any advise im happy to help as ive had one delievery due to it, and am booked for induction at 39 weeks latest again this time due to it

    Cool!Midastouch7

I had it with my last pregnancy but it wasn't actually picked up until I was in full-blown labour.  The waters flooded the place.  My sheets were changed 4 times and the midwives were shocked that it hadn't been picked up earlier.  Anyway, it did baby no harm and I was only 5 days early.

has anyone ever had this? midwife wrote in my notes today "?? polyhydramnios" its too much water, coz im measuring big im going for a scan to see if thats what it is or if its a big baby or whatever.

I just googled it and apparently it makes you more likely to have an early labour, if any of you have had it before, did you deliver early and if so how many weeks were you?

Fingers crossed babys just a porker.
