    HI BEEPS MUMMY

MY PLACENTA IS A GRADE 4, MEANING IT'S RIGHT OVER MY CERVIX, SO GOTTA HAVE C-SECTION 2 WKS EARLY. THEY WILL SCAN U AGAIN TO SEE IF IT'S MOVED. MY LAST SCAN WAS @ 34 WKS & IT HAD NOT BUDGED SO THAT'S WHEN THEY BOOKED MY C-SECTION. THERE'S A CHANCE URS WILL MOVE. BUT AS MINE WAS RIGHT OVER, THERE WAS LITTLE HOPE OF IT MOVING

TAKE CARE & TRY NOT TOO WORRY TOO MUCH

Hi hun, try not to worry too much as nothing you've posted seems too bad to me.

My lil man has been following the 3rd centile growth curve too an dthis just means he is on the smaller side but still within normal limits. They tend to worry if a baby goes up or down more than 2 lines on the chart.

Also the fact that your placenta is 3.5 cm away from the os is good.....the os is the opening to the cervix, mine was touching it and has since moved away, altho i do know some mums on here have their placenta completely covering the os.

I'm not exactly sure but i do remember someone saying that your placenta has to be at least 2cm away from the os to try for a vaginal birth, but I could be wrong?

Hopefully that has put your mind at rest and if there was anything really serious to worry about, I'm sure they would have explained it to you. HTH x x x

    I have a questionbeepsmummy

Went to hospital to get a growth scan and see how my wee man is doing.  I sm 31 weeks + 2 weeks .

His  ( bpd) is 73.3 m,  his (hc) is 277.9 mm, his (ac) is 247.mm, his ( fl ) is 55.1  and his weight is 3lbs.

They say his growth is on a constant growth curve along the 3rd centitle in the hc, fac, and fl .  Bpd is below the 3rd centile.

They also said the lower posterior placenta is 3.5 cms away from the os.  the fetla head is high in the maternal pelvis at the present.

I have a scan on the 7th november to see how the baby is growing and whether placenta has moved.  If it has not moved i will need a c-section.  This was not my normal consultant and never found any of it helpful. Can any one please help?  has anyone else been in this situation i am so worried now.
