hmmm, Ive been thinking about that Jess.  Im 35 weeks tomorrow - Joe was born at 36!! eeek - and he was 6lb odd too, wonder if peanut will take after her daddy???  I was thinking of starting things after 37 weeks - the tea and pineapple and stuff like that.  Theyre classed as full term after 37 weeks (right?) so that gives me 2 more weeks!!

Id ordered my xmas cards, some wrapping paper and some baby stuff that was in the sale, i got stuff in size 3-6 months, decided its better than keep buying small stuff lol

I love the zoo!!! but also get a  bit upset if it doesnt seem big enough for them! we went to Barcelona zoo and i didnt like the size of the enclosures   i live really close to twycross, if any of you ladies fancie a road trip when babies are here

Laura! good decision about dressing gown! lol if i had put that on too i swear i would have died! FAAARRRRR to hot in there! 1 set of my p.j's are long sleeved. and im regretting that now!

Lots of period type pains today which i like cos that makes me feel like uterus is doing something to prepare! lol

At what point do we start attempting all these way to bring on labour???

    Hi girls

Glad to see youre at home at the mo Jess... hope things keep ok for you,  So jealous that you got a scan (and youre having one Ami) -  want one Id love to know how big baby is now, and if shes def head down. Although the mw says she is I still would like to see it - my best mate had to have an emergency caesarian last year - her baby was undiagnosed breech - she was told by SEVEN m/ws that she was head down - so I just cant believe it, been getting quite a few niggles down low thoug so Im hoping shes maybe starting to engage??

Unpacked my hospital bag today to remove my dressng gown (Jess' tip!) - even packed a little makeup bag - Im sure I will be applying foundation whilst in hospital eh??

    L+P xx

When we were there people were letting their kids tease the tigers or maybe it was lions by runnning up and down etc and it just seemed cruel.

Do you ever go to Longleat?

This DIN thing is weird, why PM things to then discuss with other people anyway???

Think the idea was that c-sections are often seen as the 'easy' way out of labour, probably caused by all this 'too posh to push' celeb stuff but I wouldn't want one for that reason. An operation is an operation after all and it's certainly not easy afterwards.

But you only get one if consultant agrees or you pay for one so there  must be  reasons for having one.

I've read pieces of research stating that there are too many done now due to over-medicalising birth, which is probably true but hey, if your consultant suggests you should have a c-section most ladies will agree as they think whatever is best for baby is the most important thing.

No tigers anymore.  I always feel a bit bad for them not a fan of zoos myself but ds loves looking at the animals and watched the gorillas eating for 20 mins lol. I think it helps if people are respectful and teach there children to do the same

Last time I was at Bristol zoo I was a bridesmaid and the reception and evening do were there. DF and I cried at the tigers though, didn't seem much space for them (we're wimps!)

Midwives and I think baby has her head down, have a scan next week to check for sure though.

    What have you ordered Jess?

Glad your feeling better Jess, take it easy now and hopefully she'll cook for another couple of weeks.

I just looked at the thread and i think as one person said it shouldnt have been brought to the forum it was a pm and people are entitled to there opinion. I dont see a prob if someone wants a c section good for them but the thread is very unneccasary.

Just got back from the zoo with df and ds. df got home early so we decided to spend the afternoon there, i looked silly as i was just waddling round trying to keep up.

Ami is your bubs head down yet?  Mine is but not engaged yet. There all getting prepared by the looks of it

I know c sections arent the best but i cant see why there getting on their high horses over on DIN.. i cant see the problem.

No Amy she isnt breech, i didnt think she was either! this consultant came round and had a feel and said oohh this is her head, and i said are you sure cos she still feels head down to me.. he gave me a 'i know better than you look' so i shut up lol then at my scan the scanner man said she is dfo still head down and engaged... bloomin doctors.. what do they know ha ha!

Ooohhh my m&s stuff ahs just been delivered! my crimbo cards and some baby clothes! yay!

Ok, I've written a few notes on my assignment and think I'll start the intro. now!!! lol

No way would I want an elective c-section. When you see ladies post section they can hardly walk etc and look in so much pain , doubled over and hobbling compared to the vaginal birth mummies. Not the 'easy' route by any means. Like you say, we are entitled to think what we want to anyway.

Jess- did you find out whether baby Scarlett was breech at scan? I presume she's not as you didn't say so.

Hmmm just read the thread in DIN... all seems very pointless to me.. far too hormonal!

So what if people have opinions on c sections?

    Hello Ladies!

Im really struggling with bounty at the min. its so slow for me, its took be about 5 minutes to get to this point of posting!

Im feeling ok.. still not 100% but trying to put it to the back of my mind.. up untill this problem i have felt great and have loved being preg, now im on the edge and worrying about things that i shouldnt worry about .

Amy your absolutly right.. you have a opinion/image built up of people and its strange when you find out its not right.. i also thought you'd be super confident steph (not thats its a bad thing your not hun) I come across as really confident  and chatty i think but im not, im quite shy really.

Ive been for my hair cut this morning.. i was bloody determined to got out of that hossie for my hair appointment lol  feels loads better now, and will last me till jan now

Hmmmm on the weight issue lol my mw rang me last night and she said the weight is nothing to worry about! easier said than done me thinks!

Does anyone know if the Steroid injections they gave me will make her bigger or just mature her lungs? (please tell me they wont make her bigger)

I feel guilty too as i know so many people would love to be in my shoes. I remember when i was 8 weeks saying im going to try and enjoy it this time, etc but i cant.  I feel heavy (put on 3 stone) but it does seem to be mostly bump and i was in my "normal" weight range so i suppose its just above what i should have put on.  Im getting bad hip pain and heartburn as well and the last week constant bh, backache, and the bh are painful. But i will stop whinging now lol.

Im more scared of the hormones after birth tbh, im hormonal now and i hate it but the baby blues are worse and you cry at every tiny thing but luckily it doesnt last long.

I was the same with ds the shock that hit me after id had him was mad i just felt like what am i meant to do with him? Is he actually mine and came out of me?  I am so looking forward to having him now and getting on with life it feels like its on hold almost being pregnant iyswim?

On the plus side ds is a lot happier hes really cheered up and fingers crossed seems to be settling back into nursery, but terribles 2s isnt true ds has just started (hes 2.5) and hes very good still but more tantrums and he answers back now (the joys of learning to talk). I dont think it will last long though cos hes been going through tantrumy phases since he was 18 months.

Yep, feel guilty for saying it but just not really enjoying being pregnant. I feel lumpy and clumsy even though I've not put on much weight. I'm more miserable whilst pregnant. Just want to be able to do things again coz this SPD seriously stops me doing a lot. The heartburn is a pain too.

I watched Rikki Lake when I got home from work on ITV2 plus 1 yesterday. It was about 'pregnancy rages'!!! LOL could identify with that one!!!

Feels funny that I can't see an end coming to this pregnancy either. Probably coz it's my first but I find it hard to imagine having a baby that's ours!!

It is the same one. Not getting a swing (ds didnt have one) i know that babies do really like them and they love bouncers too so i thought i'll get a new bouncer (ds got too heavy for his and it leans to one side now lol) and wont bother with a swing again.

Is it just me or are you getting seriously fed up of being pregnant? Ive had lower back ache since last night along with bh.

Cant beleive im 35 weeks tomorrow

    xx

I've got the M+P capria bouncer with Barnaby bears and we also got the M+P star-light swing with a rag doll on it.

The swing is only a short one that we can fold away but needs2 AAA and 4 C batteries!!

Im bored too, cleaning before i have to get ds from nursery (or supposed to be anyway).

I think i got the same bouncer as you Ami, ive put mine together but havent got batteries either. Gonna send df to get some this week. I want to be ready for bubs but cant get motivated.

I think my bp keeps dropping cos i always feel sick and dizzy getting annoying now.

How are you Jess, bp staying down?

    Bored now!

Baby's swing has arrived and just put it together but it needs tons of batteries that I don't have here. Looks good though, glad I bought it. Sure it wont be long until the cat's trying to sit in it though

Need to get on with my assignment for a bit

    How are you feeling Jess?
