    Hi

Tbh i couldnt have my mum there either i love her but she'd wind me up

Think my nesting has kicked in, spent over an hour sweeping up the leaves in the garden this morning, a thorough hoover of the house, cleaned the floors and did the dusting. Wouldve done more but my nan and granddad were over. And last night i was up til 11 cleaning the oven, microwave and doing all the ironing lol. Dont know whats come over me.

I can feel bubs bum on the left now and feet on the right and underneath my bump right down the bottom i can feel shoulders i think but cant feel his head but i dont have any pressure between my legs just on my bladder could he have engaged?  Loads of braxton hicks and aches and pains today just feel so heavy.

Its quite scary my ds was 26 days early and i have 26 days left so could happen any time from now. I normally get bh for about 5 mins but instead there coming and going so will have to keep an eye on it lol.

Whats everyones plans for the weekend? Ive got my mum coming to stay (she does a lot since her divorce) but shes definately rebuilding her confidence so thats good news.

    Hope your all ok

    x

Ha Ha you have grown to know me so well the last 8 months Amy!

Im Jess.... and im a natural born worrier!

Believe it or not.... baby related things aside, i dont worry about much at all, im a bit in-decisive but i rarely worry about stuff.

So all this worrying over baby things is a bit of a shock to me! think its cos i feel waaaaaaaaaay out of my depth with a lot of it.

Very rare though as I say for a baby to be that badly affected. Don't wanna worry you (You do that for yourself!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hmm im not sure what to do now then.. i'll ask MW on monday and see what she says, £32 isnt bad for a test if it can potentially save a life i suppose.

No didn't speak to mw coz I know they don't offer one's here on NHS. Guess they feel it wouldn't be a good use of their budget to test everyone. For most babies the results of it aren't too bad but did see today it supposidly kills 75 babies a year in UK. Which is very few compared to the numbers born but obviously coz I know one of the 75 babies it's more of a concern to me.

Yeah birmingham is a fair way away.. he's having it done there cos he had his 2 op's done at Birmingham Childrens Hospital when he was 2 & 5 so its the same team doing this one.

I can not imagine having an un-assisted birth! i watched a programme on it a few months back, and i just think its so un safe... what if something went wrong, you'd never forgive yourself!

Give me pain relief, doc's, midwifes... ill have anything they chuck at me! lol

Amy did you ask your mw about this strep B test? how come they dont offer it to everyone as standard?

Of course. My mum winds me up. You obviously get on a lot better with yours!

Ah, so she'll be a little way away from you then. I'm sure your OH will be just fine though. TBH it's 99% up to us to do what we've got to do isn't it?!!! If we were alone we'd still deliver the baby wouldn't we?!! Don't really fancy being all alone though! Watched this morning about unassisted births though. No midwives, just partner.

My dad says im stupid for wanting my mum there, he doesnt agree with it i dont think.

But my mum and chirs  are quite good together in a crisis lol

Im really close to my mum, and if chris needs to pop to the loo or shop or home for something i dont wanna be left on my own! but thats just me, each to their own. think it depends on you as a person and the relationship you have with your mum i suppose.

However.. if she makes an appearence between 1st dec and 11th dec my mum will be 45 miles away in birmingham anyway so it'll just be down to chris!

Ive had that tesco thing in the post too.. not opened it yet tho. the 1 morning i go out and something comes recorded delivery ggrrrrr so now i have to go and fetch it from the sorting office.... typical!!!

I struggled to get newborn tights too, think i got mine from matalan, i love babies in tights

His appointment went ok, think he's secretly very nervous but he's not letting on.. typical man!  he's gonna be in for 10 days too which he's dreading! i actually feel more sorry for the nurses lol

My mum is panicing incase i go into labour while he's there, cos she obviously cant split herself in 2..  so she wont be able to be with me   trust me it would only happen to my poor mum!

Euggh! I worried about this recently when out with my brother, I thought hope no-one thinks he's my partner and this is his baby!!! lol  Appointment go okay?  Weird  understanding why my brother's girlfriend is with him you know? And I was the one who set them up!! To me he's just the annoying little kid I used to fight with and she's thinks he's ace!!! Odd!!! lol

    Your Mum's house sounds great!!

Not sure about the Strep b test now

Excited- got my nappy  bucket net things and TENS pads in the post today, as well as some baby tights coz I was finding it a struggle to get newborn ones rather than 0-3. I also got the Tesco baby mag today. Looks quite interesting. And the article I ordered from the uni library arrived too as I pancing a little that the letter had got lost and I wouldn't get it finished next week. Essay writing going pretty well

Jess- My DF was like that when I met him. Not interested in animals. When we moved in together my mouse and hamster came with me (no arguments, we came as a group!!) He grew to like having the hamsters around but they don't last long so I eventually got him to agree to the ferret. Which he's got used to now but he's not confident with her like I am so she still nips him!!! Funny! lol

Took me ages to convince him to let me get a cat and he said it would be my cat and he wouldn't take an interest in it etc. Only took a couple of weeks and he fell in love with him!!!

Now when we move he wants to get a dog! He's surprised me!

I want a big garden with ducks and a goat and things!!!

Probably quite nice to be at your mum's for a bit Laura. My mum's house is warmer, has a bigger, squishier sofa and always has food in the cupboards (unlike ours a lot of the time!!)

    Enjoy chilling.
