Right, well yesterday was not a good day!  Woke up as normal and had a bit of pain up near my ribs.  Joe bought me up some bran flakes and a cup of tea, ate those and felt ok.  Anyway got up to get ready to take Joe to work and nearly doubled over in agony!  Got a sharp pain going right around from my ribs into my back – could barely breath and vomited from the pain – anyway, I was panicking – Joe phoned triage and they rushed me in.  Course once Id been there for 10 mins or so the pain started to ease and was all but gone after 20 mins.  They concluded that it was that because im carrying the baby high, she must have laid on/near the nerve which runs through the diaphragm – which basically caused it to go into spasm!  They checked out Peanut, who was fine, blissfully unaware of what was going on!!!  Felt really drained after, think from the stress and panic of it all.  Made me think though as Id said I wanted minimal pain relief in labour but if its anywhere as bad as that I’ll need loads!!!!  Anyway, I suppose we at least got to see Triage and had a bit of a dress rehersal for the big day!

    > >

We started out antenatal classes last night.  Were quite good (though I did feel like I already knew most of the stuff they went through) – but Joe loved it.  Plus he spoke to a load of other dads and now thinks im wonderful as they were all saying their partners had terrible mood swings and were all tetchy and stuff, so Joe thinks im a pleasure now!  Im a lot less moody than before I was pregnant!  We will def go back – theyre for 4 weeks, and week 3 is a tour of the rooms and labour ward so that should be good.

    Hope this works now!

Yes thats why i dont feel too bad but it is so hard seeing his little face.  I try reminding him of when he last went but it does no good.  I think once the baby comes things can start to settle again so would rather thats sooner rather than later.

What's he like at nursery though? Does he enjoy it once you've left?

Dont worry about the size too much, my ds was 6ib 9.5oz at 36 weeks and normally 2nd babies are bigger so if i go full term hes not gonna be small.  36 weeks tomorrow and on friday i'll be the same stage i was when i had ds.  I just know i wont be so lucky this time.

i have no idea what bubs is doing he keeps moving his bum around and i think he might engage a bit and then come back out again as last night i couldnt sit on the loo cos of the pressure and this morning its fine so not sure whats going on in there.

Luckily my hands ok i got cold water on it the second i did it and sat with an ice pack on it for an hour after. It was dfs fault really i was carrying his and ds dinner in and didnt realise how hot the plates were (my fault) and i said excuse me to df to get him to move and he just stood there so by the time i went to speak again my hands couldnt take it anymore.

My ds is still going through his clingy stage, the tantrums have calmed but he hates df going to work and hates going to nursery and i feel so horrible leaving him when hes crying and i know its genuine cos he doesnt scream and bawl when hes really upset he just looks really hurt and has a couple of tears. I cry when i leave lol.

Hope your both having a good day

    x

Think of it this way Jess, some of the babies born on Christmas day get their photos in the local paper!!! lol

I don't want my baby yet. Need to finish this essay and if I finish that she can come as long as I'm 37 weeks and considered full term so I wont have to stay in the hospital !

Oh dear Em. Tipped soup over my hand at work recently. Hurts like hell doesn't it?

Try not to panic about the weight of baby Jess (easy for me to say I know). Just keep an open mind about pain relief and nature will see to the rest, eh?

I'm stuffed. Had a nice tea of cauliflower, broccoli and leeks in cheese sauce with proper jacket potato done in the oven, mmmmmm. So full!

Awww hope your hands ok Em, nothing worse than burns!

The pain in my foo feels exactly like being stabbed.. my bump has dropped now i think, so im assuming she has moved a bit lower this week.. i can feel lots of pressure down below.. and in my bum too.. feels like i need a poo and my final embarrasing change is.. lots more discharge, ive had loads since being preg but this last week i now have to wear pants with my p.j's its got quite bad.. i know its all normal, just not very nice! lol

Sorry for the tmi..but were all friends he he

    Hi

Dont worry about the size Jess im sure it will be fine. I get funny feelings like that and a weird pressure when im sat down sometimes on my pubic bone really hope its him trying to engage.

Really annoyed i burnt my hand earlier dropped the sauce when i was dishing up dinner and it went all over my hand it hurts so much. I feel really heavy at the bottom of my bump as well, hope its another sign that things are gonna start happening.
