Hey ladies, Just a quick one as bounty is being a pain & really slow tonight. I have sorted out all baby stuff & started packing various hospital bags today. I couldn't believe it though, I have had to do 3 loads of washing! I didn't realise that I had bought so much lol!!
Anyway just wanted to wish you both a fab last week in work
love Sal xxxxxx9/11/08 16:16
Hi ladies.
Sal - that's the lady I bought all the stuff from. She was so nice and everything is in immaculate condition, some are new with the tags still on. Glad you got a few bits and pieces and it wasn't a wasted journey.
Been trying to relax today a bit. Did a load of ironing coz it is multiplying in the basket. DH has been clening all through the house today. I went to put some washing in and my foot slipped on the floor a bit and it made me stretch my legs open which hasn't done my pubic pain any good at all.
I have just started putting the odd few things in the washing machine, some new vests and blankets and some stuff SIL had for my niece that I gave her.
God I so can't believe that I am 35 weeks today. It is starting to go fast now.
5 more work days left. Yippee!

Yup - have washed everything... first time round I paid full attention to washing instructions too and ironed everything
This time, have washed it all together then tumble dried (cos that's what I'll resort to anyway lol
Mmmm my Mum said about acupuncture too, but again I have no idea where to start with that!! Off to bed - night night xxx8/11/08 21:38
Evening gals, yes Nici, I went & got a few things but there wasn't a lot in unisex
There was tons of girl stuff though you must have had loads to choose from. The girl at the back with all the bundles in clear plastic bags had some lovely stuff that i wanted to buy but it was all pink lol! I got some neutral vests, unused nappy cloths to use like muslins & a nappy bin from her though all immaculate
OMG there is a film on C4 called silent hill & it is really freaking me out, I don't like scary movies at all I'm such a wuss!! Katie, have you thought about accupuncture, apparently it has a high success rate for turning babies. Not sure how or why or even where you would go to get it but it might be worth a try. The people I know who have had ceasareans say the op isn't bad at all it's just the restrictions & recovery afterwards, especially with 2 lo's to look after. Mind you your not going to be up for jumping around after a vaginal delivery either lol!
I wish you a fab delivery however she comes into the world
Just a quick question, did you wash your new baby stuff (from shops) before putting it on baby? There have been a few posts on this but i thought if it was new it would be ok straight out the packet. I've bought some fairy non-bio today just incase lol! Take care lv Sal xxxxxxxx8/11/08 18:00
So Katie have you resigned yourself to the fact that you are gonna have a c-section then? Glad Els is a lot better - they make such a remarkable recovery sometimes.
My bump just feels so hard and hurts when I move. Getting lots of tigtenings (which I assume are braxton hicks coz I didn't have any with Liam). Finding it very uncomfortable to move about now.
Sal - Did you go to the nearly new sale? I did and I had so many bargains I am really impressed. I bought £8.50 worth of clothes from one woman and half of them still had tags on (loads of l/s tops & leggings, brown trs from pumpkin patch, Next dress set, 7 TU sleepsuits, 2 Mini Mode outfits, 3 Next l/s tops). They are in such good condition. I got a New manual Avent breast pump for £5 just incase I can breast feed (but not paid too much for one if I can't). Got a few more Next sleepsuits for £2 and a couple of cardi's for £1 each. Was so excited sorting it all out. So much easier knowing what colour you need.
Went into Wrexham with SIL afterwards and have now nearly finished my Xmas shopping - Yippee I can't wait to wrap it all when I finish next week.
Hope you are all having good weekends.
Catch ya later.

Thanks ladies for your kind messages about DH - I just hope he will crack it this time. Poor thing is missing the Motorhead concert he and his best mate have had planned since last November, but says this is the priority.
Poor Els, Katie - I hope she is feeling better tonight. I never sleep well when Liam is poorly & it makes it much harder to sleep when they are in the bed too. Fingers crossed she sleeps well.
I just feel so uncomfortable now - my bump is now huge and keeps feeling hard with funny bits sticking out. I am so ready to be bumpless now. Only 5 weeks and 1 day til due date - I guess thats not too bad. I may feel better when I finish work next friday. God Katie we will be on major countdown next week. What date do you finish Sal?
Well gonna go and lie down, just come downstairs to check if any of you had been on tonight to see how you all are. I have managed (somehow) to paint my toenails tonight. I am paranoid about going into labour and having chipped toenail paint. I am keeping defuzzed too. Could go any day now.
Catch ya later

Soooo glad it's Friday! I haven't had a bad week but am just so tired. Bump is growing too & is heavy to carry around & back hurting!
The heartburn has started too so popped to get some gaviscon at mozzas before. Poor me lol!!!
Glad your DH is going back for his accreditation, it makes sense to do it soon whilst it is all fresh in his mind. Fingers crossed here
Thanks for the directions too, hoping to pick up some last minute bargains & then I am stopping baby shopping as I'm trying to save for maternity leave & have got OH's birthday & all christmas pressies to buy yet! OH put up the cot tonight, it's all getting closer yikes! Katie, when is your next appointment to check position of bubs? Are they going to try & turn her?
Hope Els is feeling better & that you both get a good nights sleep. Did the risk assessment go well?. I have PM my mobile number to you both as you suggested Nici, we might need them sooner than we think! Take care lv sal xxxxxxxx7/11/08 20:24
Hi ladies, hope your all well. We r still offline at home, in liverpool this weekend, last visit b4 baby comes. I'm DP's sisters comp so its just a quick hello, i'll get caught up with all your posts next week. DP has promised we'll be sorted soon. Bump is very big, very uncomfortable but all in the right place to go. So anytime would suit me. My blood sugars are high again so back to see consultant on tues. Are u all on maternity leave yet? How is everyone feeling? all counting down i'm sure. Catch up soon properly. Have a good wk end. x
7/11/08 19:51
Hi girls!! So sorry bout your dh Nici - does make you cross though that th people responsible for passing and failing others, should probably be failed themselves anyway. Hope he gets a sensible one next week
Am so glad there is only 5 days left then maternity leave starts
Am knackered - ellie was up last night being sick, but I had to taker her into work til midday as I had the risk assessor in school for the BTEC course that I run!! Bless her - she was as good as gold!! Only have to teach one class next week so that the teachers who are having them can see what they are like: Hope they don't get scared lol!! Off to bed soon ish - never sleep well with els in the bed!! xxx7/11/08 18:18
Hi Sal - thanks for your reply. DH was fuming in the end. But hey ho he is going next thursday again ready to retake on the friday. Hopefully he shouldn't get the same dim wit as last time. Makes my blood boil because he has worked so hard for this during work hours and at home too. Dizzy cow!
Yeah thank God its friday and only 5 days left in work. Not having a leaving do (so much going on in school at the mo with people leaving and bdays) so will have a little get together buffet at lunch and farewell thing with all kids. Should be nice but I bet I will be exhausted. What date do you finish?
Nearly new sale - when I said take a left after the speed camera go around the bend first & the road is called Mercia Avenue.

Oh Nici sorry to hear about your dh, sounds to me like the moderator needs bloody moderating! How can she fail him on something that he raised with her on the day, after she was nearly 4hrs late? I hope he goes for it again and at least he will be prepared for all possible eventualities. Hopefully he will get a different, more organised moderator too. Thanks for the directions, i'm sure i will make at least 1 wrong turn in my current condition though! Only 6 days to go, what have you got planned for next week? Are you having a leaving do? I hope work have something planned for you, even if it is just to make sure you have a nice easy week with lots of pressies & cakes lol! Take care lv Sal xx6/11/08 19:05
Hi Sal - I may pop into Nearly new sale with my SIL. It's easy to find. Just head for Mold and the main roundabout with the Esso garage on. Head up to Mynydd Isa (which is signposted) and just after the speed camera turn left & keep going til you see set of shops on the left (it is in the library entrance bit).
Well we have had a very topsy turvy week since DH went to do his accreditation last thursday. He was very down in the dumps and depressed all weekend. Then went into work on Monday and his manager said he had failed. Monday night he was horrendous saying he wouldn't put himself thru it again. Next day manager met with him and was furious that he had failed (not at him, about the moderator). DH had a really complex case & the moderator went to Canary Wharf by accident so kept him waiting 3 1/2 hours. He left off one minor thing in the paperwork (which is handwritten in the test but completed on computer when you do it in a branch - I know doesn't make sense) but actually told the moderator when undertaking role play. Anyway to cut a long story short his manager was going to contest the results, but it still makes no difference he will still have to go and do the whole accreditation thing again next friday. He has been so down in the dumps bless him. Only today has he cheered up a bit. I will be overjoyed next friday finishing work and he will be stressed again. (Sorry to chirp on about it)
God I feel really weird this afternoon - bump seems to have doubled in size in 24 hours and keeps going tight and uncomfortable underneath.
Hope you are all well.
Nici 34+4 (6 work days to go).

Good evening my lovely ladies, hope you are all well & have had good weeks. It is Friday tomorrow yippee & only 1 week to go for you both Nici & Katie. There have been only 5 applications for my job (closing date tomorrow) & they are interviewing on 19th! It is all feeling more real now & the kids are asking who is going to be looking after them & when (and that's year 11 lol!!) Bless some of them might actually notice that I'm not there!!!! I have done my birth plan (for what it's worth!) and going to pack my bags & put the cot together this weekend just incase bubs makes an impromptu arrival
I'm off to the NCT sale in Mynnydd Isa this weekend with my mama so might bump into you if you go Nici!! & if I find it lol!! Have fabulous Fridays love Sal xxxxxxxxxxxx4/11/08 18:45
Hello ladies, you both sound like you are in the wars bless ((((((BIG HUG)))))) from me. I bet you are glad you only have 8 days to go! I am so jealous but can't complain as I chose my leaving date & apart from feeling like a beached whale babe is head down with back either to left or right hand side (can't make it's mind up & keeps alternating lol!) and so feeling okay. Motivation to plan & teach however is another matter! Hope your babies both turn in time to provide easy labours, yours especially Katie, although you say you have now prepared yourself for a c-section which would be earlier rather than later I guess so you will be first! Nici, has your DH had his accreditation news yet? Hope it all went well
Well have a fab evening ladies lv Sal xxxxx 33+64/11/08 18:28
Hi girls!! Have gone back today after having yesterday off cos of a horrid cold... is more relaxing at work as Ellie wants to do soooo many things lol
Have decided to finish next Friday (14th) which work have agreed to yay! They are also letting me finish actual teaching this Friday, then be in all next week "helping" and sorting everything out!! Thank god!! I couldn't physically do much more I don't think!! Busy week this week anyway - Thurs pm is parents evening for Y11, and Friday we have the woman from edexcel coming to check our risk assessment for BTEC... I still have my fingers crossed for that one lol!! Bubs still up the wrong way and have ended up very sore "down below" today - nice!! Hope you both have a good week
Katie 35+3... with 8 work days left!! xxx4/11/08 17:13
Hey ladies hope you are all well.
I had my midwife appointment this morning. Everything is fine with bubs. She is head down but is also back to back which is why I am suffering so bad with my back. The midwife recommend that I spend 10-20 minutes on all fours each day to encourage her to turn around. Nice attractive position for DH to find me in.
Liam was back to back when I went into labour and i had the most excruciating pain ever on top of the normal contraction pain. That's why I ended up needing ventouse coz I couldn't get him under the pubic bone and keep him there.
Fingers crossed she turns around a bit.

Oh she also said that if they needed to induce me they may be persuaded to do it before christmas rather than chance it after, coz they don't do induction at the weekend or on a bank hol apparantly. Yippee!
Got my flower arranging tonight - making a bonfire themed colour harmony (so I have gone for orange, yellow and red flowers).
Hope everyone is feeling ok.

Hey nice to hear from you Kez. Glad you are well!
How is everyone else?
I can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow - 2 weeks and counting now. Well the NQT who is doing my cover is in tomorrow and next monday so will try not to do too much on those days. I have midwife on tuesday morning so wont be in then and have PPA on wednesday afternoon, so 2 n half days of full slog this week. Not too bad.
I went to Trafford Centre yesterday with my friend (who is also expecting 26 weeks) and we managed to get loads of christmas shopping done between the several coffee shop pit stops we made. Oh my God am I paying for it today though. Everything hurts. I was completely exhausted before and had to go for a lie down (my pubic bone and back are the worst). Now to top it all off I have been suffering with indigestion since yesterday. Good job I have got some Gaviscon from the Dr. Everything I eat seems to make it worse. Will try some Ready Brek to go to bed I think. Gonna go get a hot water bottle and go to bed now.
More and more Dec babies are being born. Just read the twins - Hollie & Lacie thread. How sweet.
Anyway good luck back in work tomorrow Katie & Sal.
How are you Maria? - hope you are not in too much pain.
Nici 34 weeks today

Hey Ho Girls,
There was me thinking that when i left work i would have more time to chat with you girls. How wrong i was my 3 girls are running me ragged with all those schoool runs, was nice before when someone else did it for me lol. Glad its half term this week atleast i have been able to relax a bit more,
My cousin and his wife have just had there 1st little girl and are both finding it very hard and they dont seem to be getting the suport from the midwife. I dont think they have grasped the fact that now things have change and there parents.
Well only 4 weeks to go and i feel i dont have anything ready lol sounds like me leave everything until the last minute. I still need to pack a bag for the hospital but still in two minds to have a home birth, ive got 2 more weeks to make my mind up and the midwifes gonna bring everything needed to the house.
Theres a sale in the next village today for nearly new baby stuff might take a wonder there today see whats up for grabs, dont need much now but might pick up a bargin.
catch you all soon take care thinking of you all kerrie 36wks
