I'll keep everything crossed for him Nici
have just got back from the midwife - bloody baby is still breech - well diagonally breech!! If she's not moved by next appointment at 37 weeks then I'll get referred back to the day clinic at the hospital for a caesarian!! To be honest - I've prepared myself for that now, and feel fairly positive about it
Are your two babies behaving? And yes, lunch and a natter will be the call for the day when babies have arrived!! Am also thinking I may only do 2 weeks back after half term - may try and get away with one week back properly, then one week back with the woman teaching my classes, and me "sorting" in the background!! We'll see
xxx31/10/08 11:17
Katie you sound like exactly how I feel. I can not get comfortable with pillows wedged in every space available in the bed. I have to keep turning over coz if I lie for too long my back aches even more and I get pins and needles or a numb sensation down my left leg and buttock. I make several trips to the loo as well just to top it all off.
I am really struggling with walking about as well, my bloomin pubic bone feels like it is splitting in half (which it probably is) and can't get comfortable whatever I do. ARGH ARGH! Roll on the 14th Dec I say.
Oh and just to have one more whinge - clothes, why can't I feel comfortable in anything. All I want to do is wear my nightie/pj's and be bra-less all day. People would give me a few odd looks if I went out like that tho.
My bump seems to have grown forward a bit more this week. I need to spread sideways not outwards or I am gonna end up toppling over with too much weight out front - LOL.

Would be great meeting up ladies after our babies have arrived - be nice to chat face to face over some lunch or a cuppa.
We should have each others mobile numbers so we can text when labour begins & to announce the arrivals.Hubby came back last night very down in the dumps. The accreditation was very hard. The actress woman went to Canary Wharf by mistake so he had to wait around til gone twelve absolutely crap*ing it. Then the case was very complicated, so he feels very anxious. Still haven't heard anything. He has been given today off so I think we are gonna head into Chester to make a Bear for the baby with Liam at the Bear Factory. They said they would let him know today or Monday. I so hope it is today. Not like my lovely DH to be so down. Will keep you posted.
Sorry for long post.

Evening girls
lol to all the positive labour vibes!! I have no idea why it ended up like that - Ellie was back to back too, and they were about to cart me off for an epidural and a c-section but I was so adamant I wanted neither that I pushed her out!! Midwife was great, and I got her out!! Just goes to show that every labour experience is so different - got the midwife tomorrow morning so we'll see!! I agree though Nici - I am so uncomfortable at night. Cos of where she is positioned it doesn't help putting cushions anywhere, so I just wake up quite regularly. I have to say I'm not really looking forward to the next 3 weeks - gonna be hard work. Am trying to ake sure my lessons are not too strenuous - gonna watch Frankenstein with Y10 (it's a piece of coursewrok promise!!) in the last week so easier! Mind you, now I know that my timetable is organised, I might only do 2 weeks!! Wonder what they'd say?!? Am finding it increasingly difficult to walk - think I probably have got spd - and am so sore underneath as well as down my left buttock - nice!! Anyway, lots of Enders tinight - yay!! xxx30/10/08 18:00
Hi ladies - I am so tired now. My friend came over with her two little girls (age 3 & 2 yrs) this afternoon and I made lunch. It has just totally taken it out of me. I feel completely whacked.
Had a totally restless night last night. Couldn't sleep then Liam woke me up coughing (I mean barking like a dog), then he had an accident (which he hasn't done for months) so had me up at 4am, then he came in with me and we slept til 8am. God this must be getting me used to the sleepless nights to come.
Katie - the present issue! We were going to get Liam a present from bubs, but not quite sure what yet tho. Are you?
Gosh your last birth experience sounds so good Katie. Please send me some of those birth vibes, too. My birth was reasonably ok last time (6 hr 50 min), but Liam was back to back so I couldn't push him out. Needed Kiwi Ventouse delivery with episiotomy. My stitches got infected 2 days later coz of Group B Strep - so a traumatic experience for me really.
Sal, I wish I had your energy. I really am gonna struggle to do two weeks when I go back on monday. I am dreading it. I was never this exhausted when I was pregnant with Liam. However, having a lively toddler wears you out, too.
Haven't heard from DH yet - I am hoping that everything went well. He is due home later tonight, but don't know when he was gonna leave. He couldn't get a very good signal last night.
Bouncer chair was delivered at 8.02am this morning (had only just woken up). Very prompt service. Haven't got it out yet to look at.

Can't believe it's Thursday already
Katie, ant tips for a fab labour with no stitches this way please
You never know your car may make a miracle recovery if it is all being sorted now - but engines can seize with no oil chick, what are you like ignoring the light lol!! My garage just called to say they can't do my car as mechanic called in sick till monday, so will have to get exhaust done at kwikfit & sort out service another time (I think brakes will need doing & wipers def need doing as being held together with clingfilm & bobbles lol!!!!) OH keeps saying I need to get it done as I will be ferrying around his precious child, don't worry about me though eh! I've been in to school today to catch up on some marking as HOD is doing a book check when we go back. I wish I could get motivated to teach next week but just can't be bothered! I'm sure i'll get into the swing of things after the 1st week though, then only 5 after that & the last week will be crimbo activities in French/Spanish so no real teaching yippee! Anyway ladies speak to you later lv Sal 33+1 xxxxxxxx29/10/08 20:46
Evening girls!! I am enjoying half term - really can't be bothered to go back and do 3 weeks but must think of the pay!! They can all watch films, do internet research - I don't care really!! God I must be ready for maternity leave - that is soooooo unlike me!! I didn't have a c-section last time - in fact had a relatively "good" birth experience with half an injection of pethidine and 9 hours of labour with no stitches at the end
So i don't really want a c-section but am now prepared mentall as this little bugger is so obviously as stubborn as her mother and father... in fact very like her big sister
My car has also decided that it is going to give up - it's not really that old (2004) but I was driving it round for a few weeks with the oil light coming on and off... kept forgetting!! So now the BIL mechanic says it probably has a year left in it
Great just as I go on maternity leave and we'll have 4 months of double nursery next year wahoooo
Gonna do some work tomorrow whilst Els is at nursery - I've washed a load of baby clothes today: her comment was "Where are all my things?!" lol a little green eyes going on in her head!! Nici - are you going to get Liam a prezzie from the new baby? Can't think what to get Els as it is getting near Christmas anyway
It will be good to meet you both in person - I agree: Anyway, enough for now - enjoy the next few days xxx29/10/08 19:12
Hello ladies, well half term is flying by & I don't want to go back lol! I guess it's only for a short while though eh. Nici, I hope your DH's accreditation goes well. My MIL is getting my bouncer but out of stock till Nov but that is the last thing to get I think! Hope you are having a nice restfull half term & can't believe that you only have 2-3 weeks when you go back, i'm so jealous! xxxxxxxx Katie, keep up the work on the ball & i'm sure she will turn, it worked for a girl at work whose baby girl only turned at 37weeks!! Glad your maternity cover is sorted, my job only got advertised last week of term so god knows who will apply
Hope you are enjoying your half term too with your little one xxxxxxxx I feel like the size of a house at the mo, everything is tight I think I may pop lol!! Can't wait to meet up with you girls on maternity leave, it will be nice to chat in person for a change. Anyhoo, take care lv Sal xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx29/10/08 17:14
Oh Katie I hope baby turns for you, by friday (or would you still prefer to have a c.section). Did you have a c.section last time?
I am trying to rest up as much as possible this week. I am suffering really bad with everything aching - my back, my legs, my pelvis & bump feels really tight (sometimes extremely uncomfortable). Not sure which way she is lying - convinced she is head down as I have lots of little feet/hands under my ribcage on the right side & keep feeling hard lump moving across the bottom which I assume is the shoulders/bum. Not too sure tho, could be completely wrong. Going to see midwife next tuesday so hoping she can shed a bit of light on the matter.
Managing to get the odd xmas pressies here and there (doing really well - quite pleased with myself). Got a couple more this morning when I popped to town for hour. Been home the rest of the day, waved DH off about 2pm and then had a little nap cuddled on sofa with Liam. Feel so much better for it.
MIL & partner are getting us the bouncer chair, so I ordered it yesterday and it should arrive tomorrow. Have gone for the Chicco Relax and play bouncing chair in Safari.
Hope you are all feeling ok.

Hi girls! I am enjoying my half term and managing to relax - although for a change I would like it to go a bit faster lol!! I am still fairly certain that she is transverse, and that even when there is a movement she is still breech with head up and legs down! I am ready for the midwife on Friday to say the sam thing - and ready for my c-section!! I'd rather I think have a planned c-section than go into labour in the hope that she will turn - for her not to turn, and then have to have an emergency one. At least this way I get to be organised lol
Am going to wash baby clothes tomorrow I think - well, car is in the garage so can't go anywhere... might do a bit of cleaning... then again, might not!! At least now I know that there is someone to actually cover my maternity leave - makes me feel a bit better about going off!! Lots of luck for dh, Nici - he'll be fine
Glad you've got your cot now Sal - getting exciting isn't it girls?!? xxx28/10/08 19:06
Hi ladies hope you are all well.
I just feel like a huge massive blob thats finding it very difficult to get about. My bump just feels so tight and hard and when bubs moves in there it feels even more uncomfortable (although very reassuring).
Been for my hair done today so that has made me feel loads better. At least I am now ready to look slightly decent in hospital if I was to go early.
DH goes away for last time tomorrow for a day/night to do his accreditation - he is bricking it. I think he will be totally fine.
I think I am gonna go and have a soak in the bath. So enjoying not being in work. Hope the two weeks go really quickly when I get back to it next week. Are you enjoying your half term Sal & Katie?
How are you Maria?
Kez where have you gone?

Oh Sal you sound like you are getting prepared with your hospital bag. GO girl!
I managed to make massive headway with my xmas shopping yesterday (huge relief) I only have a few to do on my side now (DH can sort out his family). I had a few kids to get for and I wanted that all done and dusted. Got all my wrapping paper, bows, n stuff, too so I feel a bit happier now. When I finish in three weeks I think I might have a big wrapping day - Oh I love wrapping presents.
X factor was good last night (watched it this morning coz DH can't stand it).
I felt a bit strange last night - couldn't put my finger on it though, so I had a very early night (10pm) and boy was it a long night, forgot clocks were going back, so made it even longer. Woke to go loo 7 times then Liam woke me an 8th time coz he couldn't find his bear - bless.
Hope you are all feeling well - what a huge relief there is no work tomorrow. Gonna go to soft play centre in morning with SIL & niece. Having hair done on tuesday and rest of the time no plans really. I aim to rest up as much as poss this week.
Catch up with you all later.
Nici ~ 33 weeks today

Hello ladies, well have been shopping in liverpool today with my mama & she insisted on spoiling me by paying for my shopping!! It was really nice of her but I keep telling her she doesn't have to feel obliged to spend money on the baby just because my sister has 3 kids & she has obviously spent a lot on them over the years. Also that me & Phil (baby's dad) would actually like to buy some stuff for our own baby! I am grateful though. I got some stretchy tracksuit style pants for after birth, a top & a big wooly shawl/jumper for when my coats no longer fit which is imminent. I also ordered my cotbed & mattress on Friday so that should be here on Tuesday yay! Just need to sort out a few bits & bobs for hospital bag (including a bag!!) & i think i'm all set yikes. Going to a girlie night in tomorrow for a friend's birthday & can't wait. It will be nice to catch up with everyone & have a social life again now school is over!! Take care ladies & speak soon lv Sal xxxxxxx Oooh just remembered it's Xfactor night yay!24/10/08 20:02
YIPPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

It's half term at last - it feels like I have worked a full bloomin year this half term. 8 weeks is far too long. My kids have nearly killed each other this week.
So tired tonight - woke at 5am all bunged up and couldn't breathe so have been awake since then.
My little treasure fell over before (was just about to go to shop & choose treat with daddy) and landed flat on his face. Blood everywhere - massive graze all down his left side of face. It feels so awful when they are hurt. Mummy cuddles sorted him out, oh and a Kinder egg & magazine.
Hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.
Catch ya later.
Nici

Hi ladies - I did indeed stay off yesterday & I have done today too. I stayed in bed til lunchtime yesterday but my back just couldn't hack it so I got up. I was off this morning anyway coz Health Visitor was coming (new antenatal thing they are doing around here) so just phoned and said I wouldn't be coming in for the afternoon either.
I think I am starting to feel a bit better - will go into work tomorrow.
James keeps making me hot toddies, which some are nice and some aren't. Bless him - he is looking after me.
Gonna go catch up with holby city now and then watch the restaurant. James has managed to find me 'Old Hunky Beef Monster Munch' which I love, so I am very excited about tucking into them in the minute.
Hope you ladies are all ok. I have been catching up on all the threads and I can't believe the first due in december baby has been born. OMG it is really hitting home now how close we are getting to D-Day!
Night Night.

Oh Nici I hope you are feeling better tucked up in bed. Stay off tomorrow & get yourself well or you will be ill all of half term & not rest then either chick! Just keep focussed on baby & in a few weeks you & Liam can enjoy some fab times together & more cuddles! I might pop to the Mynydd Isa sale as I got some really good stuff in Chester & it was so cheap. I only spent £20 & got 4 blankets, 4 baby towels, 1 grobag, 2 cardigans, 2 romper suits, 1 snowsuit, 1 pack of booties & scratchmits. It was hectic but worth it lol! XxxxxxxxxX Katie hope all is going well at school for you too this week, no more chasing bloody kids lol! Your new profile pic is fab, she is such a cutie xx Even the kids are shattered & wishing it was Friday lol! I have set up a baby names suggestion box in my classroom (an old tissue box wrapped up - OH's idea) so that kids can make suggestions & we can have a look at them all in h/t & get inspiration or more likley just have a good laugh!! XxxxxxxxxX I have just done the Davina pre-natal workout & am shattered lol! I did her normal hi energy one up until 20wks & then started swimming instead but have not been for 3wks so thought I best do something and as OH is out watching the match why not. I thought it would be too easy, how wrong I was!! XxxxxxxxxxX Hope you are enjoying being pampered in Liverpool Maria & that Kez you are enjoying maternity leave still, where are you!?! Take care lv Sal xx20/10/08 18:52
Hi ladies - sorry I haven't been on for a while. Last week just seemed to go by in a massive blur and it has certainly taken its toll on me. I have suffered so much over the weekend with aches and pains, especially in my back. Could hardly move last night. ARGH!
Went into work today but I think a couple of days off are needed as I am full of cold and sore throat which seems to be progressing into a cough. If I feel like this tom I am gonna be off. Just can't seem to function like this and after all my baby takes priority. Yeah can't wait for friday - half term. Yippee - so can't wait to spend a bit of time with Liam.
Hey Katie I love your new profile picture. How cute is your little princess?
Sal - I work in Mynydd Isa (that's were the infant school is, I live about 3 miles away) - I have been to the nearly new there before and it was quite good. My friend who I work with was going to go to the Chester one but couldn't remember the date. Did you get any bargains?
Maria - you poor thing?!!? I really sympathise with you. I am in agony with back & I just can't begin to imagine what it must like for you.
Handed in leaving notice letter for Liam at the nursery on friday - they don't want him to leave. I just think it's the right thing to do. I know I need to rest but I just want to be with him. God I am feeling really hormonal - can't stop kissing & cuddling him. I am so proud, James has taught him to count up to 10 in french. Bless him.
Well leave ya now - gonna go in bath with Liam (DH gone to do the shopping - he started in his new branch today, got accreditation next thurs/fri so feeling a bit nervous).
Catch you all later. Nici 32+1

Hello again ladies! Well I went to the NCT sale today & it was fab, so many bargains but very hectic. Nici there is one in Mynydd Isa on 8th November which I might pop along to, not sure if it is near you or not, my geography knowledge is shocking lol!! Well I'm off for a bath & then on to Manchester for my old HOD's 60th birthday party so take care lovely ladies & enjoy Xfactor (I have it sky+'d!!) love Sal xxxxxxxxxx17/10/08 19:48
