God this thread took some founding......
All home and doing well, thanks for all the well wishes

Go with the pain relief you feel is right for you.
How long are the contractions lasting? How are you managing the pain at home so far?
At what stage did the midwife tell you to go back in?

2cm is a start but they really say your not in established labour until you are 3/4cm think am deff in for long haul
just hope its sooner rather than later... one of my fellow bounty friends was 4 days have pains every ten mins and at 2cm.......well i always said i would go with the flow over drugs, but these blood kill now so think when i get to hospital i will want drugs straight away i reckon i will go for epidual, not keen on the sleepy / sickness of the others.....
well they slowed at min only getting them between 7 - 10 mins now... aaarrrrggghhhh another long night !!!

Just woken up for a bit to catch up (worked a night shift)!
If you're 2 cm then you've started haven't you ? 2 cm more than me Hannah, look at it that way!
Back to back is going to be more painful. Have you decided on which pain relief to have?
So looks as though yours is going to be a slow labour.
Try not to panic. Worry just makes your muscles tense and things hurt more. You're getting closer to meeting your baby, you'll have to work with it.
If the midwife sent you home and it's gonna happen slowly for you you'll have to take your mind off of it. Got a gym ball to bounce on? (mine's fab for my period pains), have some food, go out for a walk with OH, watch a DVD etc.
I'll keep checking in so let me know how you're getting along.

it would be if it was, but it isnt
ive been to hospital as the pains got bad seem as soon as i walked in though they eased, they checked me over and and gave me a sweep but am only 2cm so they advised i came home, she said i looked and sounded too ocmfortable and how labour is painful and i wouldnt look like that...... and now am home am in soooo much pain when they come again, am soooooo not going to be able to cope just hope it all hurrys up and going to be knackered in a bit and cant see me getting much sleep................. oh and to top it off baby is still back to back !16/11/08 09:08

morning.....
well am hoping this is it for me...... friday i started with just period type pains come 6ish i started timing they were coming every 5 mins and were like that for about 6 hours, but i also couldnt get off the loo and was been sick felt shocking *** src="http://my.bounty.com/smiley/msn/sad_smile.gif" alt="" /> and i was sooooo tired though tried to sleep, as all i could think was if i start in labour i wont have the energy - well still didnt sleep well woke ever hour was worst nights sleep ever...... then yesterday day i had odd pains but nothing regular, well from about 3ish saturday afternoon they became more regualr and i was getting between every 7 - 10 mins, really painful as well, more painful that fri night.... well again thought i would try and sleep and come 11 i finally nodded off woke at 12 then again at 2 and noticed at 2 i was still getting the pains, tried to have a little longer and managed till 3 but then ive been up ever since *** src="http://my.bounty.com/smiley/msn/sad_smile.gif" alt="" /> the pains are now really strong and last about a minute and am getting every 6 mins.... i really hope this is it...... oh and also think i mentioned about the "shows" ive had this week, well early i also had a proper show was quite but and was slightly blood tinged....... am going to leave dh in bed and have another nice bath shortly........ jody i know how you felt now getting these pains for days, i really hope that doesnt happen for me....... i just need them to get closer....... lets hope am at hospital later..

BTW- I emailed crib company again as DF is a lazy ass and a new is being delivered Tues!
Also first 2 paragraphs of my assignment have been emailed to my tutor to check I'm on the right path! Getting there slowly! lol

Hope you're right but sorry to say that I've been having period type pains for weeks now and was especially bad last friday (kept me awake) but I don't think I'm anywhere near labour yet. Hope it's a different story with you though.
At least at your stage you can say in all certainty that baby will be with you within 3 weeks. So if you put it that way, even going overdue doesn't seem that long!!

well today ive had period type pains all day and really achy and also lost more stretchy discharge....... fingers crossed it wont be long now........... x x

i know dam !! am soooooo hoping this baby doesnt keep me waiting, really fed up now, am getting sooooooo uncomfy, bump aching all time and soooooooo heavy, sleep is nightmare
And yeah shopping nightmare !! we went on monday and steve did all pushing and carrying etc but even jsut walking round did me in
Well 5 days to due date but i sooooooooo hope baby comes before

Re. face book shopping commment- wasn't even my shopping, went with the parents! Going with them is good though, Mum chooses cute baby clothes to put in the trolley and tells Dad to pay for it!!!
They got back from India recently so had to look through hundreds of photos
!!! They brought back a nice elephant mobile for baby though. Got to ask DF to put it up in the bedroom which will please him no end, not!13/11/08 14:22
Well i spent all money sat in hospital, they took my blood pressure as soon as i arrived and that reading was fine, then they took every half hour and each time it came down
they also took some blood and checked various things including my liver ( due to itching ??) and all came abck clear, so they think i just had a blip yesterday - midwife coming to see me monday just to double check all still ok.......Hope you are well..........x

well funny u should say tomorrow lol, for weeks my SIL has said i would have at 39 weeks then in last week or so she has said thursday lol..... fingers crossed lol.... off to bingo tonight so hoping for bingo win to send me into labour hehe....
hmmm some times men dont get it do they lol... my DH understand but his work are thick they made him start a new job last week and he made it clear he might not be able to finish if i had baby and they all said shes not due for another 2 weeks ahhhhhhh they very rare come on the due date lol.....

I'm alright but my heartburn has got worse.
Crib still is in it's box in front room coz heard nothing back from them. Keep trying to get DF to phone them as they can't ignore that but he's a bit thick and doesn't understand that babies don't always come on their due date, it could be any time now and she has nowhere to sleep. He said last week 'But we're not expecting her yet are we?' and never answers his phone at work so if anything did happen he'd be useless anyway. I have explained that it's more important to answer his phone now coz if I went into labour at 34 weeks they'd probably want to give me steriod injection for baby's lungs etc. so would want me in hospital asap, whereas from 37 weeks plus they only want you once labour is well established so doesn't matter quite as much. He's also been told not to drink loads on one night as I can't drive myself to hospital if I need to, not so bad now as my parents are back from a 2 week holiday so could call them if I had to though they do live 30 mins + away but was worried when they were away.

hi ya hun, yep am 39 weeks today, and everything is all ready, am just missing the baby.... soooooooo ready for he / she to make an appearance.....
Been to MW and my blood pressure has increased, there is no protein in my wee but she has made me an appointment at hospital for tomorrow to have my blood pressure profiled ?? so got to go and be monitored she has mentioned them keeping me in, starting me off early, but then said not to get too worried as if she was that concerned she would send me straight away...... DH got to work in manchester tomorrow so he would struggle to get time off ( said he would if i need him) but my mum has managed to get the morning off so she is going to take me instead...
But on plus side, they reckon baby has moved round and has now got head in pelvis
i also think ive had a bit of a show this week, i wasnt sure as it wasnt a lot and was quite clear but MW seems to think it was prob a show. have been getting odd niggles, so fingers crossed wont be too long....Yes we plan to hav baby in with us for for 6 months ish.. see how it goes... you ?? you sort crib ??

So have you developed lots of stretch marks during pregnancy then? I've got a few new ones coming I can see but they're not especially itchy. Poor you.
Everything done now? Hospital bags packed and nursery all ready for LO to settle in to?!!! Is baby sleeping in your bedroom for the first 6 months?
What's left for you now? Are you 39 weeks today?!!!
Our swing was delivered yesterday. Star light or something it's called from M+P. Looks cute, we bought the girly one with flowers.
My period pains got really bad last Fridaynight/Saturday morning. Kept me awake but have died down since.
I'll go and have a snoop now!!!
