yep blood pressure is fine, iron is fine though she did say to eat iron enriched foods incase, so they are going down the infection route, im on calcium tabs now too, if none of that works im doomed haha

Yeah, but you kinda do know cos I already told you haha!!!!!

I think you should insist on getting a referral hun, it's not right that you should have to suffer, we suffer enough being pregnant and giving birth!!!

LOL I promise I didn't cave!  Now that you know I guess I'm ok to fess up on my scan thread.... I'm sure Barb won't mind.  I can't tell my family so I have to share it with you guys at least!    Told you I was having a boy!  Haha!!!!!!

Aww, they should have referred you for physio anyway if you're in pain.  Better to deal with it before it gets too bad in my opinion!  Might be worth asking for a referral and getting a support belt too?

its a case of suffer with pain killers, if it gets mega bad there is physio and i can get a support band.

Hiya - aww, sorry to hear that you have sciatica - that must be proper painful.    Is there anything they can do or will it disappear or are you just going to have to suffer and take pain killers?  Hope it's not the latter.

I'm feeling much happier today thank you, have emailed a few questions off to the Managing Partner to get some things in writing before I even think of making a decision.  And better still, I had my scan!  Smudge is absolutely 100% perfick!  I'm really, really happy!  We kinda accidentally saw something we didn't mean to - sorry ladies!  I won't tell you though cos you all said you didn't wanna know! Hehe!!!! xxxxx

i hope the scan went well too

To be fair, they've said that if I want to make my mind up later on I can, so I could tell them now I plan to go back but if I then decide I don't want to they'd still treat it as redundancy.  But I don't really want to have that hanging over me all through my maternity leave.  I'd rather make the decision before I am due to start my leave I think.  To tell the truth I would be quite happy stacking shelves in any of our local shops, we have a Sainsbury's in walking distance as well as a Somerfield, Argos, Home Bargains, Boots, etc, etc.  I'm not sure what my decision will be but I think it's probably more likely that I'll decide not to go back given the extra travelling and all of the practical problems that come with it.  Thankfully I have next week off to really think things over and maybe look into nurseries/childminders, etc.  Not how I wanted to spend my week's holiday but hey ho.

Anyway, hope you ladies are all ok, sorry I don't think I asked before.

Well that sounds like a nightmare.  What a choice to have to make when all you want to think about is bubs.................................................

Can't you just say that you will go back and then drop them in the po o when you are actually due to go back?  That's the sort of thing I would do!!!!

Go and get a job at the local tesco, half decent pay and then you can work shifts.........................hhhmmmmm, when I put it like that it sounds very tempting!

Oh my god ladies - page TEN I had to scroll through to to reach this thread - what's that all about?????? Shocking!!!!!

Anyway, I'm very down in the dumps today.  Got called over to our Head Office as they want to reorganise the firm's admin (which I'm part of) 'department'.  Basically, most of the admin people are at Birmingham, but me and my boss are based in Wolverhampton.  They tried to get us to move there before but neither of us wanted to because of extra travelling, etc.  That's why they then made me part time instead.  However, there are two ladies currently on maternity leave and I'll be starting mine in October, therefore they want to use this as the time to get us all in the same place - so, basically, when my maternity leave is finished I either go back to work but in Birmingham or else I am redundant.  Thing is, relying on public transport from Brum and then having to get a bus from Wolves probably isn't the best thing when you have to get back to a nursery to pick the baby up.  If the trains aren't running properly (which happens quite often) then I probably won't get back in time to pick the baby up - and if I'm stuck in Brum then hubby will be as well because he works just outside Brum but has to use the train and also travels through New Street.  So, I'm faced with a wonderful choice.  They have at least said that if I decide I can't do the Birmingham thing they will pay my maternity leave as if I was going back (even if I tell them now that I won't be going back) and they'll give me a 'redundancy' amount as well.  I have to get that in writing though before I decide on anything!

And on top of that I'm having really horrible pains - not sure if it's related to the SPD I've got or whether it's something else.  So I'm feeling pretty miserable today.  Have my 20 week scan tomorrow - should be feeling happy and excited but alas.

Sorry for the long and miserable post ladies, just had to get it off my chest.

Flippin eck, who woke you lot up?????  Page 4 I had to trawl to just to find it earlier and now I can't keep up!  LOL!!!!!!

Charlotte, your news is fantastic and I'm well pleased for you hun!

Too many other things to remember all at once but I can meet up either weekends or I have a week off in September (the week after Supermom's hols I think) where I could make the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

I had a bit of a scare today - went to the mw to see about this SPD thing and she's referred me for physio so that's good.  BP was still 100/70 which is fab so she's very happy with that, wee was ok this time.  BUT then she tried listening for the heartbeat......... hmmm..... 10 minutes and three positions later, she finally found it and all was well.  I wasn't too worried at first because I was sure I'd felt some movements today - but the more she tried to find it, the more I could sense she wasn't happy and was getting worried and then I started to worry a little - had visions of having to go up the hospital for a scan!  Still, all's well that ends well!  Phew!!!!!

I'm sure there's other things you've all talked about that I've forgotten so no doubt I'll have another read and probably post again in a bit! LOL!!!! xxxxxx

All is good thanks, except just had to take ds for injections.  I hate needles and it was just a nightmare, he spotted his raisins in my bag before he had had them so wanted them during and threw them all over the floor in the nurses room then had a right tantrum in the waiting room when we came out so didn't stay there for the 10 mins that they tell you to.  Just stuck him in front of the telly to calm down now!!  I think he might be asleep actually!!!

    Nothing much else to report!!!
