That'll be one helluva drink I'm gonna want after all of this!!!!! Not sure whether you'll have read my post in the main forum but it seems Smudge did decide to turn round again after all and m/w thinks he's now breech again. And my bp is apparently sky high again so I'm off up to the hospital yet again for monitoring. Haven't got to be there till 3pm though so my dad's picking me up at 2.30pm and Mark's hoping to be able to finish work and meet me there..... Fingers crossed they won't insist on me staying in......
Anyway, hopefully bp will come down and Smudge's heartbeat will be satisfactory and they'll send me straight home and I'll let you all know later how I am....... grrrrrr........ Funny, I just want to laugh about it all this time!

My hips are waking me up more in the night now, but I don't think that I will feel sorry for myself as I obviously don't have anything as bad as you pair!!!
But its nearly all over, and then it will be Xmas and New Year and we will be able to have a little drink. Wohoooo

How are you feeling now hun? I bet you're fed up of seeing that hospital now aren't you? Big hugs.......I'm taking Smudge to the m/w today for my antenatal appointment - gonna make sure that he's been a good boy and stayed put. Yesterday I was sure he'd turned again but I think he's still head down after all now. Mind you, there's a chance he could have moved and moved back again I guess. I think he's just trying to keep me on my toes! LOL!!!! Oh, m/w at the triage on Saturday night told me to make sure if I have pain or headaches to take my painkillers as the pain can cause the old blood pressure to rise so I'm now just resigned to taking them every day to try and keep the SPD in check, it's not so painful this morning so fingers crossed - and I had a fab sleep last night. Don't remember falling asleep but after closing my eyes, the next thing was dh's phone going off (he's sleeping on the sofa so I'm not downstairs on my own bless him!) and I was just about to get stroppy with him thinking it was aobut 2am when I looked at the time to find it was actually 5.45am! I'd slept the whole night through!!!!!! Yay!!!! So, just over 5 hours sleep, that always helps the pain as well.
Anyway, enough catching up from me now. Kimmi, take it easy hun and I hope you're ok. Hope everyone else is too. Speak to you all later.

Hey, well not a great start to the week for me I'm afraid. I ended up in triage again on Monday morning at 1am. Same symptoms as before headache, sick, pain across the bump but also very light headed aswell. I phoned up they asked me to go in.
My little girls heart rate was so high, its normally 150 (144 and 148 only changes through whole preg) and yet it was in the high 160's and 170's as high as 178. Mw really wasn't happy and I was kept there on the monitor for 2 hours! I saw mw, a Dr and a registrar and none could tell me what was happening or the cause. I also noticed that I was having some severe tightenings last night some as high as 32 on the monitor. They ranged from 11 -32 in the 2 hours I was being monitored. mw didn't seem fussed so i wasn't either. They have just said keep an eye and if i get this again go back in. I have felt ok today apart from my conjuncivitus and am hoping i dont have to go back in until she is making an appearance. I have started my antenatal classes which are fab too!

I have no idea what page this had dropped to as I just searched for it using the search facility, figured that would be quicker, I did manage to get to about page 8 yesterday and hadn't found it then.......
How's everyone keeping? Charlotte, how are you as I texted you the other week and didn't get a reply and haven't seen you online since.
What's everyone up to this week? Ladies, we need to keep in touch now cos it's getting so close to our due dates....... wonder who'll be the first to pop out of us all? Let's keep this bumped up now anyway.

I'm sleeping better on my chair - tried to spend a night in bed during the week but that was a big mistake and I've suffered for it since so I won't be doing that again in a hurry! On the upside we went and got our pram today! Yay us!!!!! I'm soooooo pleased with it. Much nicer in real life it is! And it's made me really excited now. Feeling tired a lot more lately but I guess that's to be expected really. Had my waterbirth class last night and I really want one now providing Smudge turns himself. I'll be seen a week on Tuesday to find out whether he has though and will be sent for a scan to check his position if he hasn't. Then it'll be an appointment with the consultant to discuss the options which are ECV or c-section. I'm not keen on the idea of ECV but the consultant will run through all of the pros and cons with us about both so we can make an informed decision. Less than 5 weeks to my due date now anyway so not long to go! Hope everyone else is keeping ok.

hey, just thought I'd ask how everyone is doing and rescue this thread from way down the pages. How is everyone? I am being checked by mw every week now cos they are concerned about the headaches. Hey everyone, thanks for asking kathryn I am fine now. Still getting headaches but tablets seem to be working.
Ella has moved into position I think bump has gone very solid right down the middle so think she is head down and back to tummy now, which does scare me a little as she is looking more and more like she is going to be here soon. She is down VERY low and am starting to feel movement in my pelvis I think. I am really nervous but still excited at the same tme. A few friends have said they think i'll only make it to 38 weeks at a push, so am making sure I am definitely ready. How is everyone else?? Hope you are all well, take care xxx Kim xx

Haha Wilko, I keep having those moments as well! It just suddenly hits me! I had been more nervous this time round than either of my last two but I don't really know why - but for the last few weeks I've been a lot more relaxed about it all. I'll probably be terrible when the time comes though!
Kimmi how are you now hun as I didn't speak to you yesterday I don't think? Days are all merging into one now so I forget who I've spoken to when.......

Don't know why I'm nervous, I wasn't last time. I don't even remember much of last time either so it can't be fear of knowing whats coming!!!!!

Hey everyone, where do I start??? Headaches got worse and then started having pains across the middle of the bump On Sunday night/Monday morning and was then sick very violently at 3 am Monday Morning. So i phoned the hospital and they fetched me in. They put me and Ella on a monitor for 45mins. Adam ran all the way from his to the hospital and was petrified. Everything was ok and bp was down, so they were baffled by headaches. Gave me co-dydramol for them and told me to rest and drink plenty. I then had mw appointment at 2pm that day she was worried but did all the normal stuff and Ella is growing fine and bump is measuring 31 at 32 weeks so they are happy. So am ok now but had a few rough days. Hope everyone else is fine and I'll talk to you all soon. xxxx

No I don't think we're allowed to take anything - might ask the midwife though and see what she says cos this can't be good for me or Smudge? Well, I've been to my solicitors and popped into work to say hello and considering I haven't been able to put my head down yet I feel surprisingly good. Don't think I'll bother now because I have to leave in an hour and that'll just make me feel worse. Will try and have a nap after antenatal with m/w.
I don't think candy floss would go off because it's just sugar isn't it and I don't think sugar goes off? When you get back later we'll compare notes re measurements and things lol! Hope you have a good appointment.
Oh my god, I hope he didn't turn your machine onto a higher setting or anything! I might do my nappies later. I figure if I put the couple of white bath towels in that are in the basket I can do the nappies with those. The towels are hardly dirty as they would only have been used once of course and I do towels on a 60 degree wash s that should be good for the nappies. I might see what the washing instructions on the cotton sheets are because if they can be done on a 60 then they could also go in and they'll be ready then as well. DH is working from home today so he can come to antenatal with me so he can maybe help carry stuff downstairs.

I kind of guessed that you were having problems when I went on to facebook this morning and several hours earlier your status said that you were fed up!!!! LOL
I haven't actually eaten the candy floss, I made dh eat some on sunday and then if he was poorly I wouldn't have any, but he's fine and I still haven't got round to eating it yet!! Does it go off??
I've got midwife at 2pm today as well, can't wait, want to make sure I'm still measuring the right size. Not that them measuring my tummy means anything but its a rough guide I suppose!!!
Ds fiddled with the washing machine earlier so my washing has been on for 3 hours so far, I think it still has an hour to go!!! Started washing his old clothes for Bean, they are so cute and I'm sure it wasn't that long ago that I remember him wearing them!

Morning ladies. I'm sooooooooo tired
Had my worst night 'sleep' (or rather 'awake') ever last night! (See my thread asking if any fellow insomniacs were about if you want to see any more details!) Today I have to go and see my solicitor regarding my compromise agreement at 10.30am, I have my antenatal appointment with m/w at 2.15pm and then I have my antenatal class this evening at 7pm. So not much time to catch up in between all of that. Anyone else feeling really fed up and not sleeping now? Anyway, enough of my whinging, how's everyone else? Wilko, I haven't received any candy floss so I'm assuming you ate it instead?
Kimmi, how are you hun, haven't spoken to you in a while - how are the headaches? Charlotte and Supermom I've spoken to on msn anyway recently which leaves Barb who has an internet problem but just in case you do get online at all and see this - hope you're ok hun! xxxxx19/10/08 15:04

Well, I just let dh drive my car!
I put him on my insurance yesterday and this morning we went and bought some magnetic L plates and once they were on he drove me from the DIY place to his mum's in Kingstanding, so about 20-25 minutes away, and then he drove us back from there to my dad's who lives near us on the way home. I drove from my dad's house though - well, I thought I'd had enough stress by that point.... 
Considering he's only been having lessons for a few weeks and it's a totally different type of car to the one he's used to he actually did very well. I did have to pull him up on a few things, and I had to bite my tongue quite often (cos I'm not a good passenger at the best of times and I think I'd have been nagging for the sake of it sometimes.....) but on the whole I was really happy with how it went. Don't think I'll let him drive me to hospital when the time comes though cos being in the car with me made him nervous to be honest which didn't help matters so he probably didn't drive as well as he could have (but he was better than I thought he'd be in all fairness) so add to that me being in labour with his child I really don't think it would be sensible to let him drive - so therefore, it'll be taxi for Whelan that day! Hope you're all ok ladies.

Soooo sorry, I just haven't been on here for ages!!
I thought I had it bad now that my hips are starting to wake me up at night but I actually think I'm quite lucky!!
Hope everyone isn't too bad.
We went up the mop/fair last night and ds and my sis ended up getting food poisoning some how - I bought a huge bag of candy floss which I'm not sure whether to eat now, but it keeps staring at me so I might just have to!!

Hiya! Welcome back Charlotte. SPD is getting worse sadly - but then I'm sure you know that feeling - sounds like yours is quite bad too. I have discussed a birth plan and am still looking at a water birth if everything goes ok but at last week's appointment baby was lying breech oblique so I'm now waiting to see if he turns or not. I am due to go again on Tuesday and will see whether he's moved at all. If he hasn't then I'm going to discuss the option of having a section I think. Also, will be seen at 36 weeks and will be sent for a scan if he is still breech, and I see the physio again on that day at which point she will make a final assessment as to whether I have enough mobility in the pelvis to be able to give birth normally or not anyway. She checked it yesterday and it has got worse since my first appointment but is currently still ok for the normal birth - even though I was in tears with pain opening my knees to that point. Hey ho.
I went for my first parentcraft class last night. To be honest, I didn't learn much that I didn't already know but there were odd bits of info that I found useful. She showed us the needle that they use for an epidural and explained how they work and what they do, so that was quite interesting. Next week she's taking us on a tour of the delivery suite which we're also booked in to do separately so providing she manages to show us everything there is to see then we can cancel the other session - saves a journey so that's good!

hey Charlotte, I'm 31 weeks too. i'm not too bad thanks, been having headaches and can't get to see mw till next monday so am taking things really easy at the minute. Bump has dropped considerably and is worrying my poor bf something rotten as he thinks our lil lady is about to come any second now bless him. LOL you're not wrong. I blame the father!
Anyway, have updated the post I made on the main forum with what they've said but basically I feel so much happier now as I saw a much nicer lady than I saw last week. She asked how I felt about ECV if he's still breech next time and I just said that I'd be happy to do it but is it worth it if he's going to keep moving around anyway? She was inclined to agree and has said that they will book me in for section at 39 weeks if he's still breech. However, I have to watch that my waters don't go in the meantime cos if they do I'm to go up straight away because the cord can prolapse which isn't good! They're going to keep a close eye on me for the rest of my pregnancy now and I have strict instructions to go up if I have any worries about my bp (so if I feel unwell with headaches/vision problems, etc....) or if the waters go as I say......... gosh it's suddenly becoming very eventful isn't it?!
