i am, had my 1st anti d injection 2 wks ago after my amnio. and had them during last pregnancy, nothin to worry about.
I am! Have the injections and you'll be fine hun. My mum was as well and she never had any injections with all 4 kids as it wasn't offered then and we're all fine! Just an extra precaution these days. Best to have them.
Heres the sciance bit lol you blood cells dont have a protective coating on them, which is the Negitive bit. if you baby is RHD positive it means there blood cells do have the protective coating on it. sometimes blood is transfered between you and baby through the placenta (at later stages in pg) and obvioulsy when you give birth. now at the moment if you didnt have the ANTI D injection what it would do is, your body would build up a resistance to RHD positive blood, thinking its an infection it needs to fight, this baby would be fine maybe a little anemic at birth, but on your other pregnancies your body would try to fight the baby's blood. making life for you litte ones a lot more harder to develop ect. the Anti D stops the cross over happening. so your body doesnt even know its carrying a possible RHD + babie. now a days its really not a problem for us or babies since the Anti D does what it says in the tin so to speak. but in the olden days babies used to be born with RHD desease, making them very poorly and needing blood transfusions. so all in all its fine hunny lol im a first time mummy and im RHD -. i was really worried about it, and i had bleed very early on so really panicked. but the Anti was aministered and now im 18+5 and baby is strong and well
plus there technically is a 50/50 chance your baby is the same blood as you so it wouldnt even be a problem.

Dont stress your self, they really well equiped for it, and the Anti D is designed spesifically for us and our babys. XXXXXX
Hiya, yes i am rh A neg, on 2nd pregnancy now. All that happens is you have to have an anti-d jab at 28 and 32 weeks (or 34 weeks cant remember as my pg didnt last that long last time!) , and if you have a bleed or take a knock to the stomach. they dont really hurt, and they are important incase your baby is a different blood group to you, as that could be dangerous iyswim. it really is nothing to worry about and there are lots of women here that are rh neg like us
This is my first pregnancy n so far have sailed through it, (17wks 3 days) but have just found out im Rheus neg, my midwife was useless so does anyone actually know how this may affect my pregnancy.
