I'm not sure if he'd be able to offer the same products with being in Scotland? but if you think he can help that'd be brilliant. Did you want my number or shall I call him? xx

I think I've rung just about every broker going and there just aren't any mortages that will let us have a deposit of less than 15% but if we go for a bit of a rougher estate (which have bigger houses) and try not to take too low an offer we can maybe just about do it.....

That was from an IFA in London, who is supposed to be great, he got a mortgage for my SIL's father in law who is a self employed ex bankcrupt and his mortgage was 100% on a 200k house!!

I'm waiting for a call back from a broker company type place and see what they say.At the moment I'm seriously considering looking at a house in the worst possible area of where we want to be so that we have the 15% deposit by buying cheaper

Yeah but the best bit is they're 60 ish!!! She's supposed to have MS and is on walking sticks and just got one of those little scooter things for about town - but she can hang out of the upstairs windows cleaning them 7 times a day or scrubbing down her patio'd garden. It also doesn't stop her washing my fence panels - they're a bit ocd - she washes the rain off her garden.... When Ryan was about a week old I had him out by myself doing the school run and he growled at me with a snarly face. They complain constantly to the council about our trees , no problems with them, our dogs barking - at them because they hover in the alleyway outside my back gate, our dogs smelling - which they don't because Phil picks it up every day and washes it down. The big drain however does smell but they don't accept that. It's all just little things but it's so wearing. It'd be so much easier iwth they had the balls to go with the attitude and would pick on me when I wasn't on my own with the kids coz I'd kick they're frígging lights in.

Hey.. I'm not quite sure that should prevent you

My other half is self employed and we have just been accepted for a mortage where we only pay 5%.. that's with quite a lot of debts on credit file and a few late payments on credit cards.... have you seen a mortgage broker rather than a sole providor as they can get down to the nitty gritty?

and that's really crap about the credit history - they make such a big deal about the smallest of things, like one or two late payments years ago, it's ridiculous.

i don't really know what to say as i don't know the first thing about mortgages or buying houses.  as far as the neighbours are concerned, have you complained about them?  might help to start making a log of whenever they say/do something to you so you can use it against them.

mine are quite intimidating too and i think they have about 2 kids+3 teenagers+3 adults all in a 3 bed house??  they're so noisy and chavvy they're a disgrace.  and the other ones are a ghanain lot who have made it clear to me and my 2 girly housemates that they are all looking for a white wife!  and they talk gobble-dy-gook loudly at all hours right outside my bedroom.  i hate them

I can't stop crying about it, I really hate them, they're snidey and just like to torment me when I'm on my own. Nothing illegal just slightly intimidating which is enough when it's been going on for 5 years.

He said unless we get a minimum of 15% deposit we're really unlikely to get one. We could fast track with 10% but we wouldn't get it coz of our not perfect credit history. It's not bad credit just a couple of payments made a few made late over the past year and they were on the phone and credit card so not even the big bills. It's just soo shít. It's the first time that we could buy in a decent area where we want to go since we moved away because of the price drop. Makes me wish I was working full time coz then Phil could deal with the shítty news by himself and tell me later, instead of me being stuck knowing and being upset all day on my own.

aw that's sh.it luck, the IFA said it's unlikely but that doesn't mean impossible does it?  know how you feel about the neighbours, mine on both sides are a pain in the ass every single day, i honestly cannot stand them and can't wait to move out.  i wish i could go and live on a big farm or something where no-one can bother me!

know how you feel rosena i have ar$eholes who live downstairs from me (im in an upper villa ie house on top of another i have my own garden, driveway front door etc) and they are total pains in the rear. They have a rottweiler that they keep 90% of the time in a cupboard which is directly below my stairs which in turn is on either side of the two bedrooms and it bangs about during the night waking me up - how they dont hear it i dont konw. Ive told them plenty times to get it sorted - i feel like grassing them up to the council as they are council tenants whereas i own my house! fell out with them the day my bro in law died cause they came home p!ssed and woke me up by playing loud music (bear in mind he is 37 and she is 50) and then banging on my ceiling calling me an F'in wh0re! think he got me mistaken with his mrs who humps his mates lol so i know how you feel chickxxxx

Just heard from my IFA that we've got little chance of getting mortage now with DH being self employed so it looks like I'm stuck with my awful neighbours and we can't move Not the end of the world really but still upsetting that I'm stuck with them till they die or we win the lottery.
