I'm a weirdo, I love my job! I've been in extra today as we've been interviewing for my mat cover. I can't bear the thought of someone else doing my job and hate to give it up!

end of Nov??? I can't wait!! But I think my replacement will be starting in Oct, so that will at least give me something different to do for the last few weeks, be a new face!

28/8/08 11:09
Ive just spent 5 minutes adding a weekly note to my online diary - saying 13 weeks to go, 12 weeks to go etc...... lol, I am so ready to finish! But every week extra I stay is an extra week to have with peanut!

OMG how slack are your work lot and not even knowing your pregnant!
I told mine at 12 weeks as they were trying to make me a pack horse carrying all the rubbish around for them when we attended shows - and there is a lady in here thats daughter is only 14 months old so everytime she's working she talks babies which drives the others nutty but i like it!
Wish i could start at 10 - nearly closed my eyes again at 8.30 but thought better of it - so lucky though my work is 2 miles away from where i live so totally leave it till the last minute before i go in! lol

Another rant about work - I love it

I am supposed to start work at 8 and I came in about 10 to... next person in never showed up til half 9!!! I'm so annoyed I coulda had a few hours in bed and nobody would have been any the wiser lol.
On top of this someone has informed me that a "Bill, Gerry and someone else" have been making phonecalls regarding me as to if I am "expecting" lol. Never heard of these people and as it turns out my line manager hasn't bothered his @rse to inform anyone higher than him (I told him I was pregnant at the start of June!!) so as far as everyone is concerned today is the first it has been confirmed.
xx

Know what you mean Saz the idea of being home all day is great but been there when there was no work on and after a week i could pull my hair out - even though my day is boring - i suppose at least i'm not on my sofa eating which i think i would be doing if i were there right now lol!
28/8/08 10:29
Oh dear ladies, not a good start to the day!
I know this sounds really weird, but I would like to be back at work for a bit, but since the op (and for a few weeks before) I have been signed off, so am recovering from surgery at home. Don't get me wrong, I am not bored, but conversations do tend to stem around my health, recovery, the operation and baby!! which is quite wearing!
Been doing some internet surfing for baby bits though, so am pretty much prepared for the arrival! I have orders poised on mothercares website, just in case I see some last minute bargains elsewhere! Can't do anything like lifting or stretching or exercise, so I'm pretty stuck for things to do!
Baby is wriggling which is giving my poor healing tummy a right battering, which means I can't sleep so am super tired!
Ahhh.....the grass is always greener hey!? My maternity leave can kick in at the end of Sept, so looks like work is over for me really, which is strange.....

Try and have a good day gals.... Saz (25w today)
28/8/08 10:17
Ah the thought of no more work, no more running late and having to pack food..... total bliss!!!
28/8/08 10:16
Jess K - im trying to think like that but the two i work with are miles older and sour pusses!! it makes you depressed. I so wish i worked with younger folk xxxx
28/8/08 10:14
I was like this earlier in my preg... now i just keep thinking..
come Nov ill be outta here lol and i wont have work to stress about!
it works for me lol
28/8/08 10:14
Same here i'm supposed to start at 8.30 but put it back to 9 now because i cant be bothered to get out of bed and come in this morning to an empty room with no radio nothing and cant be bothered to actually do anything!
My contract for this job is up at teh end of Sept now debating whether i actually want to work the rest but really should because of the money side!

I want to go home now.......

and already im feeling irritated grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr the place is a shambles - they got my possible replacement in yesterday who i can sum up in one word USELESS as notes have been left for me with no reference to actually what it is about i am so silly i forgot to bring my crystal ball today. The two of them are really bugging me already - i so want to be at home again
no point in taking a break to relax cause it stresses you out when you are back 5 mins xxx23+3

Scottish don't think that working with younger people is easier lol! I work with mostly 18 year olds (but 'young' 18 if you get what I mean) and my days are full of 'but he said this and she said that and then she said he said this and then he said that but actually she said this....' makes my head want to explode!
