i agree with previous posters i'd just get newborn, because once you know the colour you'll want 0-3 in that. my dd was 7lb5oz and newborn clothes swamped her. i think generally they fit up to 10lbs anyway and not many of us will have babies that big... we hope lol so they should fit for around a month if not more.

I went to asda spent all off 30 mins in there and bought he lot lol

Got 9 plain White Vests £1.75 for 3

Got 9 plain white sleepsuits think these were about £3.00 for 3

about 10 muslins these were about £5.00

A Snowsuit plain white again think this was £10 ish

A Few packs of bibs, scracth mits and hats these were pennys!

doubt you will get it much cheaper than this! lol i didnt buy any "outfits" as i didnt dress ds for weeks

    ALSO

with DS i bought white newborn tights! I know he was a boy but he was tiny and born n November so for weeks he wore Vest, Tights and sleepsuit and snowsuit if we were out! Everybody laughed at him in his tights though. He's 2 now and if i can get suitible colours he will have tights again this winter lol!

With our first DS we bought all 0-3 but had a couple outfits in newborn. As he was only 7lbs..the 0-3 stuff was massive for a couple weeks...so id say get a few basics in newborn...ie, vests, sleep suits, and couple of outfits....the rest 0-3 as they do grow fast!!! HTH! x

I'm just buying Newborn. Theey do come up quite big. They were big for ds and he was a big baby. Also babies loose a bit of weight after birth before gaining it again and then getting bigger so will get some use and give u time to get 0-3. I hardly used my 0-3 as I wanted blue stuff last time.

Yeah, ive been advised not to buy new born but to get 0-3 months because if you have a big baby he/she wont fit in them long, ive also started getting 3-6 months too xx

i get bored shopping too, can't stand it lol.

i've got about 10 vests and 10 babygros for both newborn and 0-3 months and i reckon this will be enough.  newborn are up to about 9/10/11lbs, depending on the shop x

I went in shops for all mine too, adams had a sale on and i got loads of clothes, shoes etc for £1 each, some things from asda for 75p each too.

I use to work for adams and i cant remember how much i think its £50 but if u spend over that you get free delivery. They also have a sale part on there with all the sale items, it may be worth checking it out.

    Good Luck hun x x x x

I love Woolworths clothes for basics. We're a yellow bump too and it's so hard to find unisex stuff without it being plain and boring! Other than that Asda. I've got all my stuff from differnt shops. Couldn't say there was 1 perticular shop where u could get it all from at once at a good price.

I was thinking that going into the shops would be better but I'm not one for shopping... get bored after a bit and it doesn't seem to matter what it is I am in to get. lol.

Do I buy all 0-3 months or what or do I buy them bigger?  I'm so confused

    xx

Not being funny but Ebay do have a lot of little private baby shops where u can get good things at good prices. We bought our bouncer from an independent baby store on there and got it for like £12!!!

can't help with the online stuff i'm afraid as got most of my bits from asda and adams as they're cheap - actually adams have an online shop and i got an email from them today saying if you spend over £35 you get a free bag!  you sure you don't want to actually go to a shop and buy things?  next have a good website but they're not very cheap.

Ok... it's payday tomorrow and I have ZERO things in for the baby - a steriliser and that's it!

All the big stuff is being bought for me by generous family members and I am not buying any outfits until I know if it's a little man or lady....but things like all the baby grows and sleep suits, muslin squares, bibs, baby monitors, mits, socks, towels, bottles etc (you know the essentials!) are on my big list of stuff to buy.

I am going to just go online and put it all in a basket and buy it.

Anyone recommend any websites that are best to do this on?  Just thought because some of you are so prepared there might be somewhere other than Mothercare that you might know of lol.
