    hi fiona

i had this on wednesday really bad cramping low down and pain in my hips so i dropped in at my midwife unit and got checked out she seemed to think that it could be either a water infection or pelvic girdle syndrome (sofeting of the cartilidge on your pubic bone ) which can cause discomfort so she told me to go home and rest and try to avoid walking about to much glad to say my cramps had gone by thursday now just left with hip pain on the left side im not worrying to much as my little fella is kicking away but if your still suffering get yourself to your doctors or midwife hth

    take care lou 26+2

I got that last sunday while shopping at Asda and had to dropp the trolley and go and sit down in the car. It was so bad it brought tears. I had a look around for Braxton Hicks but they say that these contractions aren't painful... Chazza

I think the mw would rather get call and it be nothing than you not call and something be wrong

Saying that last week i had a day where my tummy was rock hard and in the afternoon i was getting pains on my left side  felt like labour pains but they went again i didn't call my mw as bubs was moving fine phoned my friend tho as she has  5 kids and also lost 1 at 7 months old and she said they were braxton hicks

I agree with both the below.

Don't worry about what the midwife or anyone thinks,.. if you are worried you must get checked out hun x

i think if the pains are that bad then give the MW a call to put your mind at rest or get checked over.  i've only had mild-ish cramps, backache and stitch type pains but as long as i feel baby moving i'm not too worried x

If you don't think they are braxtons and are worry then phone your mw.  Who cares what they think of you, its your baby you could be putting at risk if you suddenly go into labour and it could have been prevented.

    hi girls,

having terible cramps/contractions today - im only 25 weeks

backache so bad at times that lying down doesnt help and have almost a constant pain lower right side of abdomen. baby is quieter than normal today too, so im bit nervous as im trying my best not to worry and block out pain.

im tempted to phone midwife but i really think they are gonna get annoyed with me as i only phoned them last week due to feeling heavy down there.

anyone else having these cramps or whatever they are.

i dont think they are braxtons as i have not had my constant backache like this with them before, nor have they caused this type of pain - this is my 3rd, lol, you think id know by now
