i was given a stretch and sweep at 7days over then on the 11th day i went into to be started off. when it got to the 13th day they said if nothing happened that night i would be having a section on the 14th day! i went into labour in the early hours off day 14. everywhere is different but you dont have to be induced if you dont want to. i only found this out when preg this time round! xx

That's good about not inducing over Xmas, i really don't want to be in hospital over Xmas, due 12th, so here's hoping baby comes on time

with my hospital they wont leave you over 10days. But over xmas they tend to induce early/late to avoid too many xmas babies as short on staff lol

The standard is 2 weeks.

does anyone have any idea how long they leave you to go past your due date before they give you a helping hand?

In my hospital the earliest is 10 days and latest is 14 days unless they are fully booked as I foundout when having dd.
I am going to try and talk my mw into booking me in on day 10, I am due 8th so hoping they wil do it on 18th because 22nd is far too close to xmas for my liking and I don't want to be away from dd.
